| In this paper,two Schiff bases were synthesized by the recation of amantadine hydrochloride and memantine amine hydrochloride with salicylaldehyde respectively.Then the corresponding products were obtained by reduction of two Schiff bases with NaBH4.The N-methylation of the reduced Schiff bases with formaldehyde and NaBH4 produced two new ligands:2-((N-methyl-N-adamantane-1-yl-amino)methyl)phenol(L1)and 2-((N-methyl-N-3,5-dimethyladamantane-1-yl-amino)methyl)phenol(L2).Six new metal complexes 1-6 were synthesized by the recation of two ligands with CoCl2·6H2O,CuCl2·2H2O and ZnCl2·6H2O,respectively.The structures of the two ligands and six complexes were characterized by melting point,infrared spectrum,UV-vis spectrum and elemental analysis,and the ligands and complexes 3 and 6 were tested by nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectrum.The molar conductivity test results of all complexes are within the range of 65-90 S·cm2·mol-1,so it can be inferred that all complexes are 1:1 electrolytes.Crystal data of three products are successfully obtained:L2 is monoclinic crystal system,space group is P21/c,cell parameters:a=12.1239(6)?,b=12.1570(6)?,c=11.6496(6)?,α=90.000,β=94.655(2)°,γ=90.00°,Z=4,V=1711.37(15)?3,R1=0.0683,wR2=0.1435。4 is triclinic crystal system,space group is Pi,cell parameters:a=9.737(2)?,b=15.039(4)?,c=16.541(4)?,α=67.343(8)°,β=77.335(8)°,γ=89.713(9)°,Z=2,V=2172.5(9)?3,R1=0.1469,wR2=0.1554。6 is triclinic crystal system,space group is Pi,cell parameters:a=9.767(6)?,b=14.995(8)?,c=16.683(9)?,α=66.582(15)°,β=77.669(17)。,γ=89.562(17)°,Z=2,V=2182(2)?3,R1=0.1117,wR2=0.1900。The crystal structure also indicates that both Co and Zn in the complexes are bound to the same ligand in different ways.In addition,the filter paper method was used to test the bacteriostatic effect.The bacteria tested were Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis.The results showed that the bacteriostatic performance of the complexes was stonger than that of the ligands.And the bacteriostatic performance of the zinc complexes was stronger than that of the copper and cobalt complexes.Although the bacteriostatic properties of complexes 3,5 and 6 were lower than kanamycin sulfate,their bacteriostatic properties agsinst Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis reached about 50%,and their bacteriostatic properties against Staphylococcus aureus reached about 80%. |
