| Silicone hydrogels are by far the most common type of corneal contact lens material,and this includes silicone,silicone,fluorosilicone and derivatives.Their popularity is associated with having the highest oxygen permeability among these soft corneal contact lens materials.However,the preparation technology of silicone hydrogel corneal contact lenses is monopolized by foreign companies,which is a technical difficulty that we need to break through.For this reason,we prepared silicone hydrogel contact lenses that meet the daily wear standard.Although silicon hydrogel corneal contact lens is popular because of its high oxygen permeability,due to the extremely strong fluidity and surface activity of silicon oxygen functional groups in silicon hydrogel,it is easy to migrate to the surface of the lens,forming a hydrophobic surface of the lens.The hydrophobic surface will not only greatly reduce the comfort of the corneal contact lens,but also more easily attract protein deposits.And these shed proteins may denature,leading to bacterial adsorption,causing inflammation and even leading to eye diseases such as keratitis and contact lens papillary conjunctivitis.Good surface wettability is beneficial for improving the comfort of lenses,blocking the deposition of proteins on the surface of lenses,and hydrophilic surface modification of lenses is an effective approach.In this study,a silicone hydrogel corneal contact lens was prepared by heat-initiated radical polymerization using a molding process,and the corneal contact lens was modified by sulfobetaine methacrylate(SBMA),which successfully improved the surface wettability of the silicone hydrogel lens and reduced the protein deposition on its surface.(1)The structure,optical properties,hydrophilicity,water loss rate,oxygen permeability,surface wettability and mechanical properties of the Poly(HEMA-NVP-TRIS)silicone hydrogel contact lens were characterized.The water content of the silicone hydrogel contact lens with the optimal ratio reached 42%,the water loss rate slowed down,and the light transmittance reached 98%.In addition,the oxygen permeability was 26.4 cm·m LO2/s·m L·mm Hg,twice the oxygen permeability of Poly(HEMA-NVP)hydrogel contact lens.It has excellent fatigue resistance,and after six cycles of dehydration and replenishment,its appearance and water content can be restored to its initial state.(2)The silicone hydrogel contact lens was modified by polymerizing a layer of SBMA on the surface of the silicone hydrogel contact lens.On the premise of not affecting the water content and transmittance of the contact lens,the water contact angle of the lens decreased from 78.2 ° to 58.6 °,and the deposition of bovine serum albumin decreased by42%. |
