Wood,as a natural polymer,has been widely used in the field of construction and home furnishings due to its green environmental protection,high strength to weight ratio,and ease of processing,which is in line with the era theme of energy conservation,emission reduction,and low-carbon environmental protection.However,wood is rich in hemicellulose,starch and other nutrients which can easily breed bacteria and pose potential hazards to the application environment and even human health.By applying antibacterial coatings on the surface of wood,the antibacterial properties of wood can be effectively improved;However,the commonly used nano-silver antibacterial agents are expensive,and copper antibacterial agents have poor antibacterial effects,making them difficult to meet practical needs.Therefore,this study proposes a nano alloy antibacterial strategy,aiming to synthesize nano-silver-copper alloy as a new antibacterial agent with high bactericidal activity and low cost,and explore its antibacterial effect in wood surface coatings.The research conclusion is as follows:(1)Using silver nitrate and copper nitrate as precursor salts,sodium borohydride as reducing agent,and polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP)as dispersant,nano-silver-copper alloys were prepared by adjusting the dosage of reducing agent,dispersant,reducing agent dripping time,and solution stirring speed in the liquid phase reduction method.When the molar ratio of reducing agent to precursor salt is 6:1,the molar ratio of dispersing agent to precursor salt is 1:25,the titration time of reducing agent is 40 minutes,and the stirring speed of the solution is 900 r/min,a spherical nano-silver-copper alloy with a particle size of 24.33 nm can be obtained.When the amount of nano-silver-copper is 10 ppm,its antibacterial effect is equivalent to that of nano silver,and its antibacterial rate against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus can reach 100%,showing excellent antibacterial effect.In addition,the sterilization mechanism of nano silver-copper alloys by releasing silver and copper ions was revealed.(2)Composite the synthesized nano antibacterial agent with water-based paint(WD310water-based open transparent primer)to produce an antibacterial coating on the surface of wood.When the amount of nano-silver-copper added in the water-based paint is 100 ppm,the diameter of the inhibition zone of the coating against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus is 24.48 mm and 23.87 mm respectively,the bactericidal rate against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus is 100%,and achieve Class I antibacterial effect;After the antibacterial durability test,the above coating still has good antibacterial effect,and its bactericidal rates against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus can reach 99.11% and97.34% respectively.The prepared nano-silver-copper water-based paint coating exhibits excellent antibacterial properties,good wear resistance and adhesion(reaching level 1).In addition,the water vapor transmittance of the coating has increased,which helps to release ions for sterilization;And the coating has a protective effect on nanomaterials,reducing the loss rate of nanomaterials to 0.6167%.In summary,nano-silver-copper alloy antibacterial agents with good antibacterial effects can be prepared by liquid phase reduction method,and then composite with water-based paint to obtain coatings with good mechanical stability and antibacterial properties.This study can provide a certain scientific basis for the research and development of antibacterial coatings on wood surfaces in the future. |
