Extraction Of Shanghai Colour And Its Empirical Evidence In The Application Of Shanghai Clothing

Colour is an important influence on the desire to buy in the era of sensual consumption.The additional emotional value brought by colour is adding value to the product and is also an important design factor in broadening the differences between brands,so colour planning is an indispensable step for clothing companies when creating new products.In this paper,we extracted the colours from Shanghai imageries and construct the Shanghai colour spectrum.Then the grey model is used to forecast the Shanghai fashion colour trend,achieving the prediction of 23 years’ colours using 4 and 5 years data,which provides a solutions for Shanghai fashion companies to make colour plans,which has some practical value.The main research contents of this research are as follows.(1)Sorting out the causes of "Shanghai style" and defining "Shanghai style" : the term "Shanghai style" describe the intention of Shanghai colours,from ideology to physical entities to combination of dress colour with urban geography and colour science and other disciplines.This paper will analyse the design concept of Shanghai colours,as well as the historical and social influences behind its causes from the historical and social levels,so as to form a complete set of underlying logic for the extraction and application of Shanghai colours.(2)Extracting Shanghai colours and constructing a Shanghai spectrum:using multiple means such as web crawlers,field photography and book scanning to obtain colour image data,extracting and summarising picture colours using the K-means clustering method based on HSV colour space,obtaining colour data for spectrum contribution,then using COLORO colour theory and its hue rings and nine-colour blocks tools to position colours and analyse colour moods and trends.The colour spectrum is then established.(3)Trend prediction of the Shanghai fashion colours: The Gaussian mixture model was used to verify the correlation between the distribution of the Shanghai colours and the Shanghai fashion colours,and the grey GM(1,1)prediction model was used to establish a prediction model based on the Shanghai fashion colours data in the past four and five years,which predict the colour trend of the Shanghai fashion in 2023.After the analysis,the fitting degree of the modern times colours in the Shanghai color spectrum and the Shanghai fashion colours is high,which confirms the reliability of the Shanghai spectrum and marks the feasibility of the application of the Shanghai colour spectrum in the Shanghai style fashion design;in terms of colour prediction,except for green,blue and purple,the accuracy of the 4-year data prediction of the other 7 hues has good performance,indicating that the method could be used to predict popular colours.In addition to increasing the impact of the Shanghai culture,this paper also provides companies and designers with a set of colour selection chromatography and colour forecasting process methods as a reference,simplifying the operation,reducing the pressure of planning work and improving work efficiency.
