Design Creation And Research Of Narrative Jewelry

Narratology is the theoretical guide of narrative design.The famous scholar Roland Barthes proposed that narrative can be expressed by any means,it can exist in painting,drama,stained glass,film,etc,and it is not limited by time,place and social race.Since then,narrative has appeared in every field,not just in literature.In recent years,narrative design has become an important topic in the field of modern design theory and practice.Narrative jewelry is a form of artistic expression in which the story and the designer’s emotion are condensed and refined into objects.When designing jewelry,it is necessary to apply appropriate artistic design methods,so that the story can be accurately refined and transformed into small jewelry works.If there is no reasonable art design method to complete the transformation of narrative art language,the audience will have superficial visual senses and cognition of the art works,and the transmission of story information and emotion cannot be completed.Therefore,this paper will discuss how to use visual language to carry out narrative expression and design,and take jewelry as the creation medium to complete the transformation of narrative jewelry in the object design of "replacing words with things".In the field of literature,the classic three elements of narrative literature are divided into idea,image and technology,so the design and creation of narrative jewelry should also have these three elements.First of all,this paper expounds the concepts of narrative,narrative design and narrative jewelry,sorts out the historical development of narrative jewelry,and analyzes the narrative performance in jewelry design.Secondly,the process of narrative design is summarized according to the cases of jewelry design works,and then the basic materials and techniques of narrative jewelry are investigated and analyzed.Finally,with " China Eastern Airlines MU5735 plane Crash" as the narrative theme of jewelry creation,the author uses Appropriate visual language and narrative design method to create a series of jewelry works called " Air Crash".Don’t wait for empty branches without flowers.By constructing a complete theoretical system of narrative design method,this paper seeks for new possibilities for the development of narrative jewelry and provides theoretical guidance for future practical creation.
