| One of China’s most significant growing regions is the Yangtze River Delta,and the country’s total modernization and development levels are greatly influenced by the region’s degree of development.,but the current environmental pollution in the Yangtze River Delta region has become a main obstacle to the further improvement of its development quality.As a kind of government behavior,environmental regulation is transformed into the internal power to reduce and control pollution,and provides a kind of new idea for solving the economic development problems and resource and environmental problems.To implement environmental regulation and to give full play to the role of environmental regulation in improving ecological efficiency is the inevitable requirement of building a modern economic system.The analysis of the impact of environmental regulation on ecological efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta region is not only of great practical significance to improve the quality of development and the sustainable development ability in the Yangtze River Delta region,but also has certain reference significance for the realization of sustainable economic development and win-win goals of ecological civilization in China at the present stage.This work is grounded in previous studies,The construction of the theoretical analysis framework for how environmental legislation affects ecological efficiency,The entropy weight method and ultra-efficiency sbm model are used to calculate the environmental control and ecological efficiency level in the Yangtze River Delta region using the panel data of 41 cities from 2011 to 2020,The standard deviation ellipse and gini coefficient are selected to analyze the spatial evolution and regional differentiation characteristics of environmental regulation and ecological efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta region,Then the panel model is constructed to test the impact of environmental regulation on ecological efficiency and the influence mechanism of two variables: technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading,Finally,by using the spatial measurement model,An empirical analysis of the spatial effect of environmental regulation on ecological efficiency is conducted.The results of the study indicate that:(1)between 2011 and 2020,Environmental regulation and ecological efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta region are generally fluctuating and rising,There are certain differences in the time point and range of change in different cities;(2)Environmental control and ecological efficiency have fairly evident regional evolution characteristics in the Yangtze River Delta region.The focus of environmental regulation and ecological efficiency tends to shift to the west,The distribution range shows a gradually expanding trend,And its pattern distribution is the northwest-southeast characteristics;(3)The overall regional gap of environmental regulation and ecological efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta region is narrowed,Regional differences and supervariable density are the main sources of regional differences;(4)Environmental regulation in the Yangtze River Delta region has played a positive role in promoting the ecological efficiency,Technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading are important paths for environmental regulation to affect ecological efficiency,It has played a positive role in promoting it;(5)The implementation of environmental regulations,while promoting the improvement of ecological efficiency in the region,Will also have an impact on the surrounding areas,There are positive spatial spillover effects.Based on the above research results,put forward the differentiation environmental regulation policy,strengthen environmental regulation policy regional coordination,continuously improve regional technology innovation level and continue to promote industrial structure upgrading policy advice,to promote the Yangtze river delta region ecological efficiency level,and achieve the goal of regional high quality and sustainable development. |
