This paper aims to design a type of environmentally friendly water-based fire extinguishing agent with high fire extinguishing performance,low temperature resistance and low corrosion.According to the combustion mechanism and the extinguishing mechanism of the fire extinguishing agent,the additives are divided into three components:covering-suffocation,flame-retardant-cooling,and anti-freezing-corrosion inhibition.Using single variable method and orthogonal experiment method to successively design these additives.Relevant tests are completed after the design of each additive and comparing the data with the previous one to verify the functional cooperativity of the additives in each component.The water-based fire extinguishing agent is formulated according to the designed formula,and its physical-chemical properties are examined on the basis of the national standards GB 15308-2006 and GB17835-2008.Moreover,the effectiveness of fire extinguishing agent is confirmed by Class A and Class B fire-extinguishing tests.Finally,using fire dynamics simulation software to model and simulate the process of a Class B fire in a specific indoor place.This simulation experiment is to explore the influence of changing the median diameter of water droplets on the fire extinguishing effect of water-based extinguishing agents.The main work content is as follows:(1)Taking"foaming height","foam bursting speed","extinguishing time","freezing point"and"steel sheet weight loss rate"as test indicators to design the theoretical optimal formula:silicone surfactant 1.0%,12 Sodium Alkylbenzene Sulfonate 0.5%,Sodium Lauryl Sulfate 1.0%,Alkyl Glycoside 1.5%,Ammonium Carbonate 6.0%,Potassium Bicarbonate 3.0%,Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate6.0%,Ammonium Chloride 3.0%,Ethylene Dioxide Alcohol 7.0%,dimethyl sulfoxide6.0%,urea 2.0%,sodium chloride 7.0%.The physical-chemical properties of the formula have passed the standard requirements:the freezing point is-20°C,the p H value is 8.26,the surface tension is 24.21m N/m,no obvious delamination after freezing,and the corrosiveness is 14.44mg/(d·dm2).(2)The effectiveness of the components in the water-based fire extinguishing agent designed in this paper is verified by infrared spectroscopy tests.Introducing a on sale fire extinguishing agent and water as a comparison in the small-scale Class A and Class B fire-extinguishing tests.It can be seen that the water-based fire extinguishing agent designed in this paper shows more stable and efficient fire extinguishing performance than other two controls.Furthermore,in standard Class A and Class B fire-extinguishing tests,the average time of extinguishing the standard wood crib fires is 29.7s,the average time of extinguishing 0#diesel fire is 15.5s,and the average time of extinguishing 93#gasoline fire is 32.7s.In addition,this design can also be used to extinguish Class F fires,which is verified by experiment.(3)In order to explore the application of water-based fire extinguishing agents in the water mist spray system,using FDS,Pyro Sim and Smokeview to establish an indoor model to simulate the process of diesel combustion,and set up water mist nozzles,smoke and temperature sensing devices.To analyze the influence of the median diameter of the water mist on extinguishing the fire in the model with relevant data.The results demonstrate that the particle size of water is a crucial factor affecting the extinguishing of Class B fires.And the heat absorption and cooling effect becomes better,when the particle size becomes smaller.
