Today,low-carbon,circular and environmental economy are advocated vigorously by the world. The extensive uses of printing and copying technology lead to increasing amounts of waste toner being released into the environment. The main components of waste carbon powder are polyester and magnetic powder, the total proportion of which can be up to 90%.Therefore,it is great significance to develop new techniques for recycling and utilization waste toner.Based on the characteristics of high carbon content, strong magnetism, complex composition, light weight and strong hydrophobicity of waste toner,we attempt to study the feasibility of recycling of waste toner from two aspects:preparing magnetic solid phase extraction adsorbent and modifying building material concrete. It will provide a new technique for dealing with solid waste in the environment. The main contents are introduced as follows:(1)Based on a simple and mild one-pot water bath reaction,N-doped magnetic waste toner was prepared.A new method of magnetic solid phase extraction of N-doped magnetic waste toner combined with GFAAS was established for analysis of trace Pb(II)in complex substrates.Compared with the original waste toner, the water dispersion and magnetic properties of the prepared magnetic adsorbent were significantly improved. The established method for Pb(II)has good linearity(y=0.6080Cx+0.0343)and low detection limit(0.043μg L-1)with 7.1%RSD.It has been successfully used for detection of Pb(II)in water and biological samples(serum and urine)in real environment.(2)Based on the hydrolysis of polyester in acid media, carboxyl functional magnetic waste carbon powder was prepared from acetic acid solution and waste toner by hydrothermal method.A new method for analysis of trace Pb(II)in complex substrates based on carboxyl functional magnetic waste toner magnetic solid phase extraction combined with GFAAS was established. The material achieved the enrichment and separation of Pb(II)in the neutral environment through the complex of carboxylate functional group of the material to Pb(II).Under the optimum conditions,With an enrichment ratio of 91.0,the detection limit for Pb(II)is 0.013μg L-1with 5.6%RSD.This method has the advantages of low raw material cost, small environmental pollution and short preparation.(3)Taking the compressive test results of concrete cube and the activity test results of cement mortar as indicators, the influence of replacing part of cement cementing material with waste toner with different dosage on the main mechanical properties of cement coagulation was studied, and the rules were explored. The activity of waste toner in cement-based system and its influence on the flexibility of cement-based concrete were analyzed by the activity experiment of cement mortar. The feasibility of partially replacing cement cementing material with waste carbon powder in concrete industry was evaluated.
