For the research of the correlation between nitrocellulose molecular chain orientation and performance of gun propellants were studied by experiment and simulation.Using contact Angle measurement instrument for different flexibilizers tubular ammonium nitrate propellant sample of axial and radial can be tested.Using Materials Studio software build ammonium nitrate propellant model with different molecular weights and different contents of polyethylene glycol methacrylate,as well as add different content solid filler RDX.The different nitrocellulose molecular chain oriented gun propellant specimens surface energies were tested.The research results are as follows:(1)Affected by the manufacturing process of gun propellant sample,during the extrusion preparation of gun propellant,the nitrocellulose molecular chain in gun propellant sample is oriented along the pressing direction,so that the axial and radial surface energy of gun propellant specimen is different,and the axial surface energy of gun propellant specimen is greater than the radial surface energy of gun propellant sample.(2)The molecular dynamics simulation calculation was carried out on the emitter samples with different molecular weight,different content of PEGDMA and different content of solid filler RDX.The results showed that the surface energy of the emitter samples was positively correlated with the orientation of nitrocelluloses molecular chain in the emitter samples,that is,the greater the degree of nitrocelluloses molecules in the emitter along the orientation direction,The larger the surface energy of the propellant sample is.(3)The test results of the surface energy of the launcher sample containing polyethylene glycol methacrylate and Rsocgen show that the surface energy of the launcher sample increases when 1% and 2% of polyethylene glycol methacrylate and 20% and 25% of socgen are added at 20℃.(4)The content of polyethylene glycol methacrylate and Rsorogin has a certain effect on the molecular orientation of nitrocellufos in the launcher.With the increase of the content of polyethylene glycol methacrylate and Rsorogin,the molecular orientation of nitrocellufos in the launcher increases along the orientation direction.(5)The orientation of nitrocellulose molecules in the emitter has a certain effect on the pharmacokinetic properties.The greater the degree of nitrocellulose molecules in the emitter along the orientation direction,the better the mechanical properties of the emitter in this direction.
