As a non-contact processing method,Ultrasonic Vibration Assisted Laser Processing(UVALP)utilizes the focused energy of the lens to generate instantaneous high temperature and cooperates with ultrasonic high frequency vibration for material removal.During the UVALP process, the material being processed will melt or vaporize when heated. However, laser ablation of materials occurs in a very small space and a very short time, and it is difficult to directly study the material ablation process by experimental means,so that there is still no problem of heat and flow in the process of UVALP material ablation.unified understanding. In recent years, the rapid development of computer simulation technology provides a good idea and approach for the breakthrough of this problem.Based on the above analysis, this paper uses the multi-physics coupling method of the COMSOL finite element software to study the UVALP material erosion process and related theories.Based on the comprehensive consideration of physical problems such as material heat transfer, phase transition, fluid flow, and interface motion,a heat-flow coupling model for material ablation during ultrasonic laser ablation was established. The material erosion mechanism and related physical phenomena during the UVALP process were explored from the perspective of heat-flow coupling, and the visualization of the evolution of the ablation pit morphology during the UVALP process was realized. The simulation results are verified by single-pulse and continuous-pulse experiments. The results of laser ablation experiments show that the simulated pits are in good agreement with the experimental pits in terms of morphology and size, which verifies the correctness of the proposed model and the heat-fluid coupling mechanism in explaining UVALP.Feasibility of the material ablation process. The calculation model of ultrasonic vibration-assisted continuous pulsed laser ablation was established, and the method of combining simulation and experiment was used to analyze the characteristics and change rules of the superposition of pits and the topography of the machined surface. The distribution is studied in detail. The experimental results show that the established ultrasonic vibration-assisted continuous pulse laser ablation model has a good prediction effect on the surface morphology of machined parts. The research work in this paper has a certain theoretical support for the optimization of UVALP process, and also has positive significance for enriching the basic theory of UVALP.
