Research On The Application Of Degradable Plastics In Fiber Art

Representing an art that is both young and old,fiber art breaks the thinking stereotype that materials occupy a secondary position in traditional art forms.In terms of the rapid development of fiber art,the main factor is the continuous innovation of materials.The degradable plastic as a kind of new environmental protection material can be applied in fiber art,which is given by the free creative space of fiber art.In this thesis,the degradable plastics are taken as the research objects.This paper takes degradable plastic as the research object,excavates the material characteristics of degradable plastic,finds its expression form and texture in creation,and explores its unique visual language performance in fiber art.Firstly,this thesis starts from both theory and practice to collect the relevant data of degradable plastics in the field of design,so as to have a good understanding of the definition and classification of degradable plastics,as well as the development status of degradable plastics in the field of design.From the perspectives of material innovation and sustainable development,its significance applied in fiber art is analyzed.Secondly,the analysis on the visual language expression of degradable plastics in fiber art is carried out through concrete cases.The characteristic language of materials is elaborated from three parts,such as transparent and non-transparent,soft and hard,existence and disappearance.The structural language of materials is elaborated from two parts of form and texture.Thirdly,the experimental exploration of degradable plastics is conducted.Firstly,the detailed introduction to the selection and preparation of materials is made and recorded.Then,the experimental exploration is conducted from two aspects of material language and structural language.Finally,the problems and solutions in the experimental process are summarized,so that the practical basis can be provided for personal creative practice.Finally,it is the practical exploration of degradable plastics in fiber art.Through the creative practice of my graduation design such as Reincarnation,Imprint,the innovative application of degradable plastics in fiber art is discussed,and the graduation design is analyzed from three aspects such as unique materials,cross-border technology and emotional expression.According to the deep research on degradable plastics,the following conclusions are obtained in this thesis: 1.Through case and practical exploration,the unique material language and structure language of degradable plastics are deeply understood,the production methods and some forms of materials are mastered,the formal language combining collage and degradable plastic and the unique texture language combining cyanotype and degradable plastic are excavated.2.The innovative application of degradable plastics in fiber art is explored.Through the combination of degradable plastics and fiber art,the material language and expression of fiber art are enriched,and the application scope of degradable plastics is broadened.Finally,it is hoped that these studies can attract more art and design creators’ multi-angle research on degradable plastics,so as to produce a new design perspective and new visual language.
