In the environment of world economic globalization,with the rapid growth of maritime traffic,the shipping industry has a great development,but with the development,the problem of ship navigation safety gradually appears.Ship sailing in the ocean will face all kinds of threats.These threats may lead to ship delay,cargo damage,or ship damage and death.One of the threats that ships face when sailing is the threat from bad weather,which is most dangerous because of typhoon’s strong destructive power and difficult to accurately predict.Therefore,in order to reduce the high risk of typhoons coming from ships at sea,this paper studies how to avoid typhoon safely.In this paper,we try to design a typhoon avoidance scheme to solve the typhoon problem when the ship is sailing at sea,and use the typhoon avoidance scheme to design a reasonable typhoon avoidance path to avoid typhoon and navigate safely.Based on the research,this paper designs an overall typhoon avoidance path optimization scheme which considers both the global typhoon avoidance scheme and the local typhoon avoidance scheme.In the scheme of global typhoon avoidance,this paper adopts a~* algorithm and improves it.On the one hand,it considers the influence of the shipping cost caused by the threat of wind and waves on the fuel consumption,on the other hand,it improves the adaptability and efficiency of a~* algorithm.In the scheme of local typhoon avoidance,this paper adopts the artificial potential field method(APF)and improves it.It not only tries to solve the defects of the traditional artificial potential field method,such as local minimum and unreachable target,but also considers the uncertainty of meteorological factors,which is caused by the development of Typhoon forecast with time,and uses information entropy to solve the uncertainty of meteorological factors.Through the joint action of global typhoon avoidance scheme and local typhoon avoidance scheme,it is expected to provide a safe,reliable,and cost acceptable typhoon avoidance scheme for ships in navigation.In this paper,after the design of typhoon avoidance scheme is completed,the test of typhoon avoidance scheme is carried out based on the actual track and data of historical typhoon,combined with the data of ship navigation performance.From the test results,a bulk carrier can design the route to avoid the typhoon according to the scheme designed in this paper,and the final navigation result is safe from the test path,and the navigation cost is acceptable from the comparison of the schemes.It can be seen from the data analysis of typhoon avoidance path test that the wind level and wave height of the ship in the whole process of sailing according to the typhoon avoidance scheme are within the safe level,which proves that the typhoon avoidance scheme designed in this paper can provide a safe and reasonable path for the ship.Therefore,the typhoon avoidance scheme designed in this paper can design a safe and economical typhoon avoidance path when the ship is about to be affected by the typhoon and the typhoon forecast is uncertain,which can provide a new reference for ship navigation safety.
