Metal compounds are new self-assembled materials formed by metal ions and organic ligands.They have attracted much attention as chemical sensors for their variable topologies and good emission properties,but the rational selection of metal centers and organic ligands to construct compounds with the desired properties remains a challenge.The d10metal ions are common metal nodes for the synthesis of fluorescent compounds.Metal compounds constructed from aromatic carboxylic acids and pyridylbenzimidazole ligands can exhibit desirable fluorescence properties and stability.Eleven compounds were respectively built by N-doner(2-(2-(pyridine-3-yl)ethenyl)-1H-benzimidazole,2-(2-(pyridine-4-yl)ethenyl)-1H-benzimidazole,2-(pyridin-2-yl)-1-(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)-1H-benzimidazole),different aromatic carboxylic acids and metal salts(Zn(Ⅱ),Cd(Ⅱ)and Ag(Ⅰ)).1 and 10 are three-dimensional(3D)new topology frameworks;2 is a 3D two-node mog network structure;3 is a 3D(4,5)-connected xah framework;4 display a 2D hcb planar hexagonal lattice;5 is a 2D complex new topological layer;6 and 8 are both complex 1D SP 1-periodic chains;7 is a 3D two-fold interpenetrating dmp framework;9 is a 1D"V"chain,and 11 is a dual-core structure.Except for 11,which presents poor thermal stability,the other synthesized compounds all have good thermostability,water stability,and fluorescence properties.1~8 enable the visual and sensitive detection of enrofloxacin/acetylacetone(1~3)and levofloxacin/benzaldehyde(4~8)in aqueous solutions and are employed as paper-based sensors.9~11 are utilized for real-time monitoring of acetylacetone;11 can detect pefloxacin by fluorescence enhancement.The effects of different types of carboxylic acids,benzenedicarboxylic acids at different carboxyl sites,different d10metal ions and different pyridylbenzimidazole ligands on structures and properties of compounds were explored.The compounds will provide some help in real-time pollutants monitoring.Figure 92;Table 13;Reference 75...
