Insurance Product Design Of Sichuan Shale Gas Rotary Steerable System

In Sichuan shale gas exploration and development,Rotary Steerable System(RSS)is widely used in directional well and horizontal well drilling operation with its advanced real-time measurement and steering function,which greatly improves the drilling efficiency.However,due to the geological conditions,drilling fluid performance,drilling team and other reasons,it is easy to occur drilling stuck accident,leading to the downhole part of the rotary steerable system instruments are stuck and full lost,causing significant economic losses.And rotary steering drilling engineering company system vendors have been trying to cover All Risks Oil And Gas Drilling Equipment Insurance by standard terms to transfer the risk,but because of the risk an insurance company for professional evaluation and standard insurance terms itself defects,lead to repeated claims disputes,and excessive compensation to insurance company can’t provide.As a result,RSS operate in an uninsured state,and drilling engineering companies and RSS suppliers themselves bear a high risk of economic loss,thus undermining the confidence to participate in development.Therefore,this paper proposes two problems to be solved: one is to design a new insurance product for RSS of Sichuan shale gas,so as to meet the market demand for insurance and help the development and construction of Sichuan shale gas.The second is to provide systematic and professional guidance for insurance company underwriting,to avoid insurance company due to lack of special risk identification ability,blind underwriting problems.This thesis studies the problem by referring to the theories and professional literature and using a variety of research methods such as literature research,case analysis,questionnaire survey.Firstly,the insurance accidents occurred before RSS insurance are analyzed,and the risk factors of accidents are summarized.Secondly,the claims disputes caused by the defects of the original insurance terms are summarized.Then,in order to design RSS’s "special insurance policy",this paper is focusing on improvement and innovation of questionnaire design,insurance terms improvement,insurers structure design,uniform insurance management policy,the insurance products pricing methods,then drawing a set of have a systematic,operability,and convenience of new insurance product.The new insurance product gets the good evaluation of all parties in the market,and can satisfy the basic insuring needs,so as to realize the solution of the two problems.
