A Study Of The Effects Of Air Pollution On Labor Agglomeration

Air pollution has become a growing problem in China as the country has undergone rapid industrialization and urbanization.Air pollution not only affects the daily life of residents,but also threatens people’s physical and mental health.Out of poverty after labor demand for high quality environment,the influence of air pollution on labor agglomeration has also been gradually revealed,this article from different regions and different view of the city development reveals the influence of air pollution on labor agglomeration,in air pollution and labor relations,the introduction of the threshold variable "public spending",To explore whether there are differences in the impact of air pollution on labor agglomeration under different levels of public financial expenditure,such discussion provides a new perspective for establishing reasonable and differentiated public financial expenditure mechanism.Preliminary analysis of Arcgis10.3 shows that PM2.5 and labor agglomeration are different in spatial distribution,and they gallop backward in the direction of movement.Indepth analysis shows that air pollution will reduce the degree of labor agglomeration,and the effect of air pollution on labor agglomeration is stronger than that of public financial expenditure on labor agglomeration.When public financial expenditure is taken as the threshold variable,in a low range,the degree of labor agglomeration decreases with the aggravation of air pollution,while as public financial expenditure crosses the threshold,air pollution has a positive impact on labor agglomeration.Moreover,there is heterogeneity between regions and cities in the impact of air pollution on labor agglomeration.The regression results of eastern China and first-tier cities are similar,and the impact of air pollution on labor agglomeration is positive.The regression results of central region and second-tier cities are similar,air pollution has no significant impact on labor agglomeration.The regression results of western China and third-tier cities are similar,and the impact coefficient of air pollution on labor agglomeration is negative.At the same time,the impact of air pollution on labor agglomeration has different threshold effects in different regions and different types of cities.Therefore,alleviating urban air pollution and constructing reasonable public service structure are of great significance to the balanced development of labor force and public service and the construction of environment-friendly cities.
