Research On The Application Of Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu Techniques In Modern Women’s Wear Design

The Zhuang ethnic group in Guangxi is one of the ethnic minorities in China,with a long history of culture and traditional attire.The traditional attire of the Zhuang people is also known as the Luoyue or Yue attire,and the production techniques for the Zhuang Guanfu attire were included in the sixth batch of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region’s intangible cultural heritage list in 2016,as a "wearable history".The so-called "Guanfu" is a gorgeous and decorative clothing that usually consists of multiple parts,including a jacket,pants,headgear,and accessories.Zhuang Guanfu usually uses shiny hand-woven fabrics and is decorated using traditional techniques such as embroidery.It can reflect the historical and cultural changes of the various ethnic groups in Longlin County,Baise City.In fact,analyzing the characteristics of Zhuang Guanfu attire at different times is also an important evidence for identifying the environmental characteristics,life concepts,and aesthetic thoughts of the Zhuang people in various historical periods.This article uses literature research,field investigation,and comprehensive analysis methods to study the history and production techniques of Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu attire,and explores the specific application of Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu attire production techniques in modern fashion design.The paper focuses on the Zhuang Guanfu production techniques of the Zhuang branch in Longlin County,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.Through field research,museum visits,and interviews with ethnic clothing inheritors,the author obtained physical samples of Zhuang Guanfu attire in Longlin County from different periods.First,the historical background and concept of Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu attire and its development process were studied.The form and structure of the Zhuang Guanfu attire in Longlin County were sorted and summarized through physical mapping and structural analysis.Then,the production techniques and characteristics of Guanfu attire were analyzed in detail,including fabric selection,pattern meaning,embroidery techniques,and Guanfu production techniques.Next,through practical case analysis,the application of Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu attire production techniques in modern women’s wear design was explored,including innovative attempts in fabric selection,pattern design,and color application.At the same time,in combination with the aesthetic needs of modern women,the article discussed how Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu attire production techniques can be integrated with modern women’s wear design to achieve fashionable,beautiful,and practical effects.Ethnic handicrafts provide us with rich materials for clothing design and provide designers with infinite creative inspiration and possibilities.The author combined the needs of modern women’s wear design and designed four sets of formal dresses,exploring the innovative application of Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu attire production techniques in modern women’s wear design.Finally,the article summarizes the application value and prospects of Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu attire production techniques in modern women’s wear design and points out the direction for further research and exploration in this field.The research results of this article will provide useful reference and inspiration for modern fashion designers and Guangxi Zhuang Guanfu attire production techniques inheritors.
