As the heyday of the development of copper mirrors,Tang Dynasty copper mirrors with more diversified shapes,diverse themes,more intuitive reflection of the state of mind and daily life of the ancients in China,Tang Mirror’s breakthrough and innovation for the past copper mirrors,not only shows the vigorous social outlook of the Tang Dynasty,but also helps to enhance people’s in-depth understanding of the evolution of Tang mirrors.Although the bronze mirrors of the Tang Dynasty have attracted many scholars’ attention.At present,the summary of the main methods of Tang bronze mirror research of the Tang mirror type and ornamentation corresponding to the age,the analysis of the composition and historical origin of a certain type of copper mirror ornament,and the specific interpretation of a specific copper mirror.On the basis of fully referring to the research results of predecessors,I intend to use archaeological typology and interdisciplinary research methods to discuss the types,characteristics,misjudgments,epidemic time,and causes of copper mirrors in the Tang Dynasty in the Xi’an Museum.The full text is divided into three parts:The first and second chapters propose the purpose and significance of the research on Tang Dynasty bronze mirrors in Xi’an,and briefly state the background,purpose,and significance of the research topic.By sorting out the research history of Tang Dynasty bronze mirrors,we can understand the development process and academic achievements of previous scholars on Tang Dynasty mirror research,and establish an understanding of its research.A comprehensive collection and organization of Tang Dynasty bronze mirrors at the Xi’an Museum was conducted,and detailed analysis and classification were conducted based on the shapes,themes,and thematic features exhibited by their patterns.The clues and patterns of their changes before and after were summarized and analyzed.The third chapter comprehensively collects and organizes Tang Dynasty bronze mirrors from the Xi’an Museum.Through detailed analysis of the shapes,themes,and thematic features displayed in their patterns,it summarizes the patterns of changes before and after,and finds that there is a close relationship between early Tang Dynasty bronze mirrors and previous dynasties’ bronze mirrors.During the prosperous Tang Dynasty,bronze mirrors developed greatly,and a large number of innovative elements were integrated into this stage.During the Middle Tang Dynasty,the decorative patterns of copper mirrors became increasingly realistic,and the layout of the mirror back broke traditional styles.The rapid decline of copper mirrors in the late Tang Dynasty,with thin body and rough casting,was a prominent feature of this stage.Chapter 5 conducts a deep analysis of the artistic characteristics of Tang Dynasty bronze mirrors in the collection of Xi’an Museum,connecting with foreign exchanges,religious culture,social customs,etc.of the Tang Dynasty,revealing the cultural motivations and influencing factors of the evolution of Tang Dynasty bronze mirror decorations.It is found that Tang mirrors,as an artistic form of expression,vividly display the attitude and expectations of Tang people towards life.At the same time,in the reflection of mirror back decoration on social life,it reflects the multicultural and artistic characteristics of the integration of Hu and Han,and the exchange of Buddhism and Taoism under the influence of local culture.Chapter 6 carefully sorts out the special type of Tang Dynasty imitation Han mirrors in the collection of Xi’an Museum,classifies and organizes them,and analyzes the relevant issues of "imitation Han mirrors".It is found that these types of mirrors are mostly renovated mirrors,and are mostly influenced by Taoist culture.Tang Dynasty imitation Han mirrors are not only a unique type of Tang mirrors,but also a pioneer in the trend of copper mirrors returning to ancient times after the Song Dynasty.
