| Metal cutting tool is an important part of machining,and its performance directly affects the manufacturing efficiency and processing quality of products.With the increasing demand of manufacturing industry for cutting performance,machining efficiency,customization and rapid response of tools,traditional tools have been unable to meet the needs of users.Parametric modeling has become the development direction of modeling in the process of customized tool design because of its fast,stable and accurate characteristics.Due to the lack of application of modeling standards,it is difficult to transmit and interact data in the past tool model data establishment,which forms a data "island".Therefore,the application of tool modeling standards can facilitate the transmission and use of tool model data.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:First of all,according to the design characteristics of milling cutter,eleven typical cutters used in machining are divided into three types: helical surface cutter,customized welding reamer and indexable cutter.Aiming at the particularity of the end milling cutter model,the mathematical model of the end milling cutter is established,and the open source kernel modeling is explored using the Open CASCADE(OCC)geometric modeling interface.The method of batch file driven model generation process program is used to realize parametric modeling away from the main interface of NX software.Secondly,in view of the inconvenience in transmission and use of tool model data caused by different building methods,this paper selects ISO 13399(cutting tool data expression and exchange)as the tool model building standard.According to the rules of each sub part of the standard,three types of tools including data files,2D drawings and 3D model tool model data are established.Thirdly,according to the tool parametric and standardized modeling methods,a parametric modeling system for multi type customized tools is built.The system uses Python as the underlying language and combines NX secondary development technology with OCC development technology to develop.The system can quickly generate the tool product data package and tool product map in accordance with ISO13399 standard,and realize the cloud storage function of model data.Finally,the system functions are verified by design efficiency,actual production of tool product drawings,model standardization and other indicators.Compared with traditional modeling methods,the efficiency of modeling using this system is significantly improved.The tool product icon created by the system has accurate annotation and complete content,which can guide actual production.The system and its generated tool model data conform to ISO 13399 standard.The system is applied to optimize the centroid of variable pitch and variable pitch three edge end milling cutter,and the residual unbalance quality of this kind of cutter is improved. |
