Design And Application Of Daily Ceramic Products Based On Minimalist Aesthetics

Minimalism is an art school that originated in the West in the 1960 s.With the development of modern industrial technology,the minimalist aesthetic has been widely used in the field of design.Focusing on the current social situation,the pace of life is accelerating and people have started to admire a minimalist lifestyle.Based on this social and cultural background,the principle of functionality and the natural beauty of simplicity advocated by minimalism has taken on a new vitality.The combination of minimalism and everyday ceramic design has a strong practical significance,from a functional and economic point of view,the simplicity of the product form can better reflect the functionality of the product,simplify the production process,to a certain extent,can improve production efficiency and reduce costs.From an aesthetic point of view,the rational and restrained design of minimalism is in line with people’s aesthetic interest in the pursuit of simplicity and blandness.This project combines the origins of foreign minimalist thought with the Chinese aesthetic idea of simplicity,summarises its characteristics in the design of daily ceramic products from case studies,and aims to apply the language of minimalist design to the practice of daily ceramic product design,ultimately designing and producing three sets of daily ceramic products,namely,"Chunhua","Tuanran" and "If the clouds knew".
