Abstract/Summary:
Laser-induced fluorescence has the advantages of high sensitivity, convenience, high real time performance and no blind spot, and has the ability to identify oil spill types and detect oil spill quantity. At present, the research on oil spill using Laser-induced fluorescence mainly focuses on the inversion of oil film thickness, but the research on emulsified oil is still insufficient. Therefore,it is necessary to study the quantitative detection theory of emulsified oil spill.Based on the Intrinsic Optical Properties of emulsified oil spill, the fluorescence radiative transfer model is studied and the relationship between the concentration of emulsified oil spill and the fluorescence radiative intensity is established.Firstly, the laser and fluorescence transmission in the emulsified oil spill is simulated based on the Monte Carlo method, and the light distribution characteristics in different directions and depths are studied by using the intrinsic optical parameters of the emulsified oil spill with different oil concentration, the change of fluorescence emissivity of emulsified spilled oil with increasing concentration was analyzed. Then,a fluorescent extension to radiative transfer model without laser scattering component and a fluorescent extension to radiative transfer model with laser scattering component are presented. The scattering of light from emulsified oil will change the direction of light transmission, and then affect the light transmission process in emulsified oil. Therefore, the average path length and forward scattering ratio are set in models, and the parameter values are calculated according to fluorescence’s scattering phase function. At last, the difference between the two models and the Monte Carto simulation results is analyzed, and it is found that when the fluorescence emissivity of the two models is calculated, the results of the model considering the laser scattering component are closer to the simulation results.
