As an indispensable part of the continuous casting process,the mold flux of the continuous casting mold plays an important role in improving the quality of the slab and ensuring the smooth operation of the continuous casting process.In the process of continuous casting,mold slag can improve heat transfer and lubrication,prevent secondary oxidation,heat preservation and absorb floating inclusions.According to reports,more than 65% of the breakouts in the continuous casting process are mainly caused by poor mold flux lubrication.Therefore,it is particularly important to study the lubricating properties of mold slag.This paper mainly studies the effects of different pulling speeds,mold vibration modes and non-sinusoidal factors on the mold flux lubrication in the continuous casting process,and obtains the effect of different parameters on mold flux lubrication.This paper takes slab continuous casting as an example,selects Q235 steel and conventional SiO2-CaO mold flux as the research objects,determines the physical parameters of Q235 steel and mold flux,and selects VOF model and RNG k-ε model as the multiphase flow and turbulent flow used in this paper.The model simulates the shape of the mold flux at the meniscus,and completes the transient simulation of the mold flux flowing into the slag channel at the meniscus during the continuous casting process.By establishing a dynamic coupling model of molten steel,mold flux,air three-phase flow,heat transfer and solidification,the effects of pulling speed,mold vibration mode and non-sinusoidal factor factors on the infiltration of mold flux at the meniscus are studied.The results show that the mold sinusoidal vibration,when the pulling speed is 0.015m/s,the negative slippage time is 0.18 s,the negative slippage amount is 5.06 mm,and the mold flux consumption is 0.274kg/m2,and its lubricating effect is the best;When the vibration frequency and pulling speed are the same,compared with the sinusoidal vibration of the mold,the negative slippage time of the non-sinusoidal vibration of the mold is 0.16 s,the negative slippage is 4.975 mm,the average slag consumption is 0.278kg/m2,and the negative slippage is reduced.It is conducive to the penetration of mold flux into the slag channel,and the consumption of mold flux increases,which is favorable for lubrication;when the non-sinusoidal factor of the non-sinusoidal vibration of the mold is 0.5,the negative slippage time is 0.137 s,and the negative slippage amount is 5.25 mm.The amount is 0.287kg/m2,and its lubricating effect is the best.
