Styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer(SEBS)is a thermoplastic elastomer with excellent properties,non-toxic,odorless,environmentally friendly,and recyclable.It is widely used in various fields and functional studies are rare.To this end,this subject carried out a systematic study on the melt-spinning and silver-plating functionalization of SEBS.(1)On the basis of comprehensive testing and analysis of the existing SEBS raw materials,the necessity and ideas of modifying SEBS are proposed,and the basic properties(thermal stability,fluidity,etc.)of the modified SEBS(Eros-OA)are discussed.The spinnability of modified SEBS(Eros-OA),including melt spinnability,melt blowing and encapsulation,was tested and analyzed,and the modified SEBS(Eros-OA)was successfully prepared fibers,meltblown nonwovens and polyester covered filaments.(2)The direct silver plating properties of modified SEBS(Eros-OA)were studied.Studies have shown that the modified SEBS(Eros-OA)fibers have good "self-absorbing silver" ability,so they can be directly plated with silver.In order to further quantitatively explore the direct silver plating ability of modified SEBS(Eros-OA)fibers,they were modified with other treatments before silver plating(dopamine surface modification,carbon nanotube modification,carbon nanotube + dopamine).Modified SEBS(Eros-OA)fibers were compared.The results show that the effect of direct silver plating without any treatment is the best,and the resistance value is the smallest.At the same time,a comparative study on the direct silver plating properties of other grades of SEBS materials and silica gel films was also carried out.Studies have shown that other grades of SEBS materials and silicone membranes cannot be coated with a uniform and firm silver layer.(3)The direct silver plating mechanism of modified SEBS(Eros-OA)was further studied.Studies have shown that electrostatic adsorption is the initial power source for direct silver plating of modified SEBS(Eros-OA).The modified SEBS(Eros-OA)fiber cannot form a silver-plated layer if the static electricity on its surface is eliminated with an antistatic agent.Thus,the electrostatic adsorption theory has been disproved.(4)Based on the excellent bonding properties of SEBS,the feasibility and effect of heat-treating "silver fixation" on modified SEBS(Eros-OA)fibers after silver plating were discussed.The research shows that after heat treatment at 130 ℃ for 10 min,the "solid silver" effect of modified SEBS(Eros-OA)silver-coated fibers is the best,and the resistance is only 0.247 Ω/cm.(5)Based on single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment,the silver-plating process such as reaction time,p H value of silver-ammonia solution,temperature of plating solution,ratio of silver-ammonia solution to reducing solution,adding method of reducing solution and concentration of silver nitrate were optimized.The study found that the optimum electroless silver plating process parameters for modified SEBS(Eros-OA)fibers were as follows: the reaction time was 180 min,the p H value of the silver ammonia solution was 12.5,the reaction temperature was 35 ℃,and the ratio of silver ammonia solution to reducing solution was 65 : 35,the reducing solution can be added at one time.When the concentration of silver nitrate was 80 mmol/L,the line resistance of the obtained fiber was0.33 Ω/cm,and the silver content was 5.20 %.The optimal ratio of silver ammonia solution to reducing solution of modified SEBS(Eros-OA)non-woven fabric is 60:40,the square resistance at this time is 13.939 Ω/sq,and the silver content is 162.745 %.(6)Silver-plated modified SEBS(Eros-OA)fibers,SEBS coated polyester multifilament,non-woven fabrics,SEBS coated polyester multifilament knitted fabrics and woven fabrics were prepared based on the optimal process,and their surface morphology,composition and composition were evaluated.The composition,resistance and electromagnetic shielding performance were characterized and analyzed.The results showed that the surface morphology of the plated materials was good,the silver-plated layer was dense,the silver content was high,and the electrical conductivity was excellent.Can be used for the development of flexible conductors and electromagnetic shielding.
