Digital inkjet printing of textiles is a clean processing method that is widely used to increase the added value of textiles due to its flexibility and high resolution.Pure cotton fabrics are favored by consumers because of their excellent moisture absorption, breathability and wearability.According to relevant statistics, the consumption of cotton fabrics in global textiles is second only to polyester. At the same time, the market share of textile digital inkjet printing products has also increased year by year. Therefore, the digital inkjet printing products of cotton fabrics have great potential in the textile market, and the research on digital inkjet printing of cotton fabrics is of great significance to increase its printing quality, reduce costs and reduce waste water discharge. In order to better guide the production of digital inkjet printing products for cotton fabrics, the influence mechanism of mercerizing treatment on the digital inkjet printing performance of pure cotton fabrics was studied in depth.Based on this research, using mercerized pure cotton fabric as the substrate, the influence mechanism of the structure and surface activity of two different types of polymer pretreatment agents on improving the quality of digital inkjet printed products was investigated, and high-quality of digital inkjet printing products. The specific research of this paper is as follows:(1)The influence mechanism of mercerizing treatment on digital inkjet printing of cotton fabrics was studied.Specifically,250 g/L of caustic soda was used, and the mercerization time was controlled as 0 s,10 s,20 s,30 s,60 s,90 s to adjust the crystallinity of cotton fibers, and reactive dyes were used for digital inkjet printing..The experimental results show that when the mercerization time is 60 s,the printed cotton fabric obtains the best color intensity.Furthermore,by analyzing the aggregated structure, morphological structure and chemical structure of mercerized cotton fabrics, the influence mechanism of mercerization treatment on digital inkjet printing of cotton fabrics was revealed.(2)Taking sodium alginate(SA)and propylene glycol alginate(PGA)as the research objects, the effect of alginate polymer pretreatment agents on digital ink-jet printing of cotton fabric was studied.Three kinds of dye inks, namely Reactive Orange 13,reactive red 218 and reactive blue 49,were used for ink-jet printing. The results showed that the printing effect after PGA treatment was better than that of SA.Compared with the printed fabric without polymer pretreatment agent, the k/s values of orange, red and blue color blocks after PGA treatment increased by 6.46,4.87 and 1.46 respectively. At the same time, the outline clarity of PGA treated printed fabric is also improved. Then through the analysis of polymer structure, cotton fiber morphology and structure, the rheology of polymer solution and the wettability change of cotton fabric surface, the influence mechanism of propylene glycol alginate(PGA)on improving the quality of cotton fabric digital ink-jet printing was revealed.(3)Taking carboxymethyl hydroxypropyl cellulose(CMHPC)and hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose(HEMC)as the research objects,a pretreatment agent based on cellulose polymers was prepared, and further research was carried out.Influence mechanism of structure and surface activity on digital inkjet printing. The study found that under the same printing frequency, compared with alginic acid-based pre-treatment agents,cellulose-based pre-treatment agents have a better effect on improving the quality of digital inkjet printing on cotton fabrics. The best printing results were obtained on cotton fabrics treated with base cellulose(HEMC).At a printing frequency of 600 Hz,the permeability of ink droplets between fibers and yarns was weakened, and the K/S values of the red and orange patches reached 17.85 and 19.41.At the same time, the spreading of the ink droplets is also greatly suppressed,so that the outline definition of the printed fabric is also improved.Furthermore, the effects of the properties of the cellulose polymer solution and the surface properties of the treated fibers on the improvement of digital inkjet printing on cotton fabrics were studied through analysis and characterization. This paper studies the pretreatment part of digital inkjet printing, including mercerizing treatment, modified alginic acid polymer and cellulose polymer treatment on cotton fabrics to improve its digital inkjet printing mechanism. It has important guiding significance for the production of high-quality digital inkjet printing products for cotton fabrics.
