Mine belt conveyors are a type of high efficiency coal mining mechatronic integration equipment with a long conveying distance,a big load capacity and continuous conveying that are commonly employed in high yield and high efficiency mines.Traditional belt conveyors for mining employ a high-power asynchronous motor with reducer and hydraulic coupler as the driving mode.However,there are several issues,including low transmission efficiency,huge space occupation,and difficulty starting with load.As a result,this paper proposed a mine belt conveyor and control system based on direct drive of an external rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor,in which the roller drives the belt conveyor instead of the traditional drive structure,thereby eliminating hydrodynamic couplers and improving transmission efficiency.The detailed contents of the research were as follows.Firstly,the external rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor direct drive mode and the traditional drive structure were investigated.Through the study of the advantages and characteristics of external rotor permanent magnet direct drive,and combining with the dynamic model of mine belt conveyor,the requirements of the driving motor for the mine belt conveyor were obtained,as well as the s-type beginning speed curve of the mine belt conveyor driven by an external rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor.Secondly,the dynamic mathematical model of an external rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor based on the d-q rotating coordinate system was created using the coordinate transformation concept.The magnetic field directional control technique appropriate for low speed operation and i_d=0 was devised in response to the driving characteristics of low speed and great torque required by mining belt conveyor.Since installing a position and speed sensor in a harsh working environment was difficult,and measuring information from the rotor when the motor is running at low speed was difficult as well,an extended kalman filtering algorithm was used to estimate the rotor position and speed accurately.Furthermore,the speed control system achieved speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor without a position sensor by using a space vector pulse width modulation control method.Finally,the simulation model of an external rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor direct drive drum was created using the Matlab/Simulink platform,and the features of the direct drive speed control system,such as steady starting,strong resilience and quick torque response,were validated.Through the hardware design and the construction of the experimental platform,the experiment verifies that the external rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor direct drive speed regulation system of the mine belt conveyor has good starting performance and load capacity,which can meet the requirements of low speed and large torque of the mine belt conveyor,and has a good prospect of popularization and application.Figure[43]table[9]reference[74]...
