Laser cutting technology is the most extensively utilized process engineering in all laser processing procedures.Laser cutting has become the most commonly used laser processing method in the field of laser processing with its benefits of high cutting speed,extensive cutting range,high cutting quality,small heat affected zone and quick efficiency.Laser cutting is widely used,however the mathematical model of laser cutting that reveals the mechanism of laser cutting is not flawless.Therefore,this paper first establishes the mathematical model of off-axis laser melting and cutting,and takes the laser melting and cutting metal plate with inert gas as the auxiliary gas as the research object.The laser melting and cutting process is simplified into the melting process of cutting front in the slit,the process of melting and forming molten layer,and the accompanying process of auxiliary gas and molten layer force.Secondly,the numerical simulation analysis of gas flow velocity and melt velocity of off-axis laser melting cutting mathematical model is carried out using the kind of auxiliary gas,auxiliary air pressure,cutting speed,and off-axis quantity as the key influence parameters.To model the laser cutting process,numerical analysis parameters are substituted,and the change in air flow field structure is investigated.The change law of gas parameters in air flow field is obtained by calculating air flow velocity and air flow pressure.The results obtained from the simulation analysis of the air flow field have little error with the results of the numerical simulation analysis,which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent experimental verification of process parameters.Finally,the results of numerical analysis and simulation are verified by experiments.In this paper,a method of capturing the falling molten material by high-speed camera is proposed to collect the melting rate.Taking the type of auxiliary gas,air pressure,cutting speed and off-axis amount as the influencing parameters of laser cutting,the data collection and surface morphology observation of the surface are carried out,and the melting speed,slit width and section roughness are analyzed to analyze the cutting quality,The difference between the numerical analytical findings and the experimental results is less than 20%,indicating that the mathematical model is successful.The optimum outcomes of cutting settings and response values are anticipated using the response surface optimization design.Simultaneously,the experimental verification is performed.The numerical analysis results are comparable to the optimized outcomes.The error between the numerical analysis results and the optimized results is small,and the optimized results are consistent with the experimental results,which provides a theoretical basis for parameter setting.
