Vinyl acetate(VAC)is one of the organic chemical raw materials with large output in the world.It is mainly used to produce various chemical fiber products such as polyvinyl acetate,polyvinyl alcohol,coating,vinylon,pulp,film coating,vinyl copolymer resin,acetal resin and adhesive.It is widely used in all walks of life.Among the production methods of vinyl acetate,vinyl acetate produced by carbonylation method has low cost,less environmental pollution and short process flow,so it has great market competitiveness.Therefore,the construction of industrial production equipment for manufacturing vinyl acetate by carbonylation method with corresponding specifications is of great significance to solve the current demand for vinyl acetate.In this paper,coal chemical product syngas is used as the main production raw material,high-purity dimethyl ether is prepared by syngas synthesis process,and then vinyl acetate and ethylene diacetate are produced by carbonylation method.Finally,ethylene diacetate is cracked to produce vinyl acetate.The processes involved are dimethyl ether synthesis section,vinyl acetate synthesis section and ethylene diacetate cracking section.According to the characteristics of the process flow and the properties of raw materials,select the appropriate model,and use Aspen Plus simulation software to simulate and optimize the process parameters of the whole process flow and process equipment.The theoretical plate number,reflux ratio,feed plate position and other parameters of light removal tower,methyl iodide absorption tower,vinyl acetate tower,methyl acetate tower,acetic acid tower,deacetylation tower,vinyl acetate tower and acetic anhydride tower were simulated.The feed ratio,solvent amount,reactor temperature,reaction pressure and feed amount of ethyl diacetate synthesis reactor of dimethyl ether reactor were analyzed The reaction time and other parameters of the ethylene diacetate cracking reactor were simulated and optimized,and the whole process was optimized according to the above simulation results to clarify the optimal operating parameters,which provided a strong support for the design of the industrial production of vinyl acetate by carbonylation method.The optimization results show that the purity of products and by-products can reach a high level: 99.9% excellent vinyl acetate,99.7% fine methyl acetate,99.58% excellent acetic anhydride and 99.9% excellent acetic acid.The simulated and optimized carbonylation process for the production of vinyl acetate in this paper meets the requirements of today’s national energy conservation and emission reduction and the 14 th five year plan.It can effectively improve the deep processing utilization rate of coal resources,reduce China’s dependence on oil resources,accelerate the transformation and upgrading of China’s resource utilization of vinyl acetate,and contribute to environmental protection and sustainable economic development.
