The ability of stretchable conductors to maintain stable electrical characteristics through massive deformations and to smoothly interface with diverse three-dimensional uneven surfaces has received a lot of interest. The majority of reported stretchable conductors,on the other hand, have complicated manufacturing techniques and expensive prices. As a result, creating a simple, quick, and low-cost way to produce stretchy conductors remains a difficult issue. Two stretchy ionic gels were made via a"one-pot technique"based on thermally induced ring-opening polymerization of lipoic acid, and the structures and characteristics of the two ionic gels were investigated. The following is the primary work:(1)A linear covalent polymer with a large number of carboxyl groups in the side chain was made by employing acrylic acid and itaconic acid as free radical quenchers and betaine and choline chloride as eutectic during the polymerization of lipoic acid, respectively. The hydrogen bond acceptor in the solvent and the polymer created a novel form of ion gel, which was cross-linked at the same time by the coordination of aluminum ions and carboxyl groups.Infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, and Raman spectroscopy were used to describe the structures of the two ion gels.(2)The ion gel prepared with lipoic acid, acrylic acid, and betaine has good low temperature resistance and thermal stability;maximum visible light transmittance can reach 87.3%;maximum tensile strength can reach 330 k Pa,elongation at break up to 908%;ionic conductivity up to 2.31×10-3 S·m-1;resistance has a good response to strain changes, and experiments have proven its feasibility as a resistive strain sensor.(3)Due to the presence of more hydrogen bonds, the ion gel prepared with lipoic acid, itaconic acid, and choline chloride has more stable stability at high temperatures, and the fastest weight loss temperature is as high as 284°C;higher tensile strength;however, excessive hydrogen bonding also negatively affects conductivity.(4)The two ionic gels of poly(lipoic acid-acrylic acid)-betaine and poly(lipoic acid-acrylic acid)-betaine include a considerable number of(hydrogen bonds,carboxyl-Al3+coordination links, disulfide bonds)(lipoic acid-itaconic acid)-choline chloride, which gives the ion gel strong self-healing qualities at room temperature, with over 90%self-healing efficiency in 16 hours;and the dynamic bonds in the ion gels provide the material good repeated processing properties.
