Organic molecular antimicrobial agents are widely used because of their long effective time and high bactericidal efficiency.Cationic antimicrobial agents can improve the cooresponding sterilisation efficiency by rapidly bacteria adsorption.In this study,three cationic molecules were synthesized and characterized,and three antimicrobial coating films were prepared with high bactericidal efficiency and good anti-adhesive properties through UV curing technology.The detailed contents are as follows.1.Preparation and performance of the hydantoin imidazolium serial PUA coatings.Three hydantoin imidazolium salts(HDAMx,x=6,8,10)were successfully synthesized by using 5,5-dimethylhydantoin,dibromoalkanes with different C-chain lengths and 1-allyl imidazole as raw materials.HDAMx was embedded in the PUA backbone in different proportions,and PUA-PHDAx films were synthesized through UV curing technique.The performance results indicated that the antimicrobial efficiency of the PUA-PHDAx coatings improved as the amount of HDAMx and the C-chain length increase.At 5 wt% of PHDA10,the films showed 99.2% and 99.8% antimicrobial activity against E.coli and S.aureus respectively,with water absorption of 5.7%,pencil hardness of 2H and excellent heat resistance.2.Preparation and performance of octa-quaternion phophosnium serial PUA coatings.Starting from 1,6-bis(diphenylphosphino)hexane,pbromophenol,triphenylmethyl chloride and tetrabromopentaerythritol compounds,tetrahydroxy octa-quaternion OQPS with high charge density was successfully synthesized by three-step reaction.The different percentages of OQPS was incorporated into the PUA backbone and forming the film by UV-curing.The corresponding structure and performance were tested.The results showed that the antibacterial properties of the PUA-OQPS films increased with the percentage of OQPS.The PUA-OQPS-5wt% coatings were able to achieve 99.5% and 99.8%antimicrobial resistance against the two bacteria,with 7.0% water absorption,a pencil hardness of B and good heat resistance.3.Preparation and performance of anti-adhesive octa-quaternary phosphonium serial PUA coatings.Anti-adhesive tetrahydroxy octaquaternary phosphonium salt-based PUA antimicrobial coatings were prepared and characterized.The perfluorooctyl acrylate was used to the prepared OQPS-5wt% oligomer before photocuring to produce a PUAOQPS-F series coating.The result demonstrated that the PUA-OQPS-5wt%-F-8wt% coatings possessed excellent antibacterial properties,achieving a 99.9% bactericidal rate against both bacteria,with 0.8% water absorption,a pencil hardness of 2H and effective heat resistance.The incorporation of fluorine chains apparently enhances the anti-adhesive properties of the material,which provides new ideas for the production of PUA films with synergistic antibacterial capabilities.
