With the continuous increase in the number of urban motor vehicles, atmospheric particulate matter caused by vehicle exhaust emissions and vehicle dust has gradually become the main source of urban air pollution.Garden plants can not only beautify the environment, but also effectively control environmental pollution.Through the research on the dust retention ability of 7 kind of dwarf bamboos, from the aspects of dust retention and tolerance evaluation, select the bamboo species with good dust detentions ability. In this study, seven bamboos were subjected to long-term dust stress from the shoot stage(March)to the mature stage(July),to find the ability of sent shoots and the change of new bamboo, and discuss the relationship between the morphological changes and physiological changes. After certain ground cover bamboo can survive in the dust environment for a long time,6 kind of bamboos were selected for further field experiment. The bamboos was placed in the road environment for 30 days, and its tolerance in the road was studied through the analysis of air pollution tolerance index. At the same time, the variation characteristics of dust retention of ground cover bamboo and their retention characteristics for particles with different particle diameters were also measured.Through the monitoring of the road environment by the dust tester, the characteristics of the particulate matter in the road environment are determined.Through the measurement and analysis of the blade morphological characteristics with instruments, the microstructure of the blade and the characteristics of its surface attachments were photographed with a scanning electron microscope, and the characteristics that affected the change in the amount of dust retention and the retention capacity for particles of different particle sizes were discussed in conjunction with the analysis. The research results are as follows:(1)The greatest impact of particulate matter on ground cover bamboo is the rate of Hsinchu and net photosynthetic rate, and the rate of Hsinchu depends to a certain extent on photosynthetic accumulation material. It shows that the effect of particles on particles is mainly photosynthesis. For ground cover bamboo, the rate of Hsinchu is the main factor to maintain the long-term survival of the community,so it becomes one of the important indicators to determine the tolerance of ground cover bamboo. The order of all bamboo species is Shibataea lanceifolia(0.90)>Pleioblastus kongosanensis(0.74)>Indocalamus decorus(0.56)>Sasaella glabra(0.55)>Sasa auricoma(0.49)>Sasa argenteostriat(0.41)>Sasa fortune(0.36).(2)Through the analysis of APTI index of dwarf bamboos in clean environment and roadside,it is found that the low temperature in winter will have an adverse effect on the growth of ground cover bamboo, resulting in a lower index. The APTI index ranking of all bamboo species in the roads is Sasa fortun(10.19)>Indocalamus decorus(9.87)>Pleioblastus kongosanensis(9.86)>Sasa argenteostriata(9.71)>Sasa auricoma(9.42)>Sasaella glabra(9.09).Therefore,the bamboo species that are more resistant to high-intensity pollution on the road environment are Sasa fortun,Indocalamus decorus and Pleioblastus kongosanensis.(3)The dust retention of bamboo leaf in 6 kinds of land changed regularly with time. For the plants with relatively smooth leaf surface, the time to reach the maximum dust retention was long.Plants with rough leaf surfaces have a short time to reach maximum dust retention. The average growth rate of particulate matter accumulated by plants before reaching a plateau is in the following order:Sasa auricoma(0.42 g·m-2·d-1)>Indocalamus decorus(0.32 g·m-2·d-1)>Pleioblastus kongosanensis(0.27 g·m-2·d-1)>Sasaella glabra(0.24g·m-2·d-1)>Sasa fortune(0.19 g·m-2·d-1)>Sasa argenteostriata(0.18 g·m-2·d-1).Therefore,for areas with a lot of rain, priority should be given to plants with rough leaf surfaces, which will help to absorb more particulate matter in a short time after erosion.(4)The dust retention of the six bamboos leaves is ranked as Sasa auricoma(10.25g·m-2)>Pleioblastus kongosanensis(7.32 g·m-2)>Sasaella glabra(6.47 g/m2)>Indocalamus decorus(5.12 g·m-2)>Sasa fortune(4.66 g·m-2)>Sasa argenteostriata(4.48 g·m-2).The percentage of PM10 remaining in the leaves of the six bamboos is Sasa fortune(27.50%)>Pleioblastuskongosanensis(26.90%)>Sasaellaglabra(24.44%)>Sasa argenteos-triata(24.14%)>Indocalamus decorus(23.47%)>Sasa auricoma(22.01%).Since the maximum impact of vehicles on road particles is PM10,bamboo species with good PM10 retention should be selected in preference.(5)Based on the above results, the most suitable bamboo species to be used in the environment with a large traffic flow is the best dust retention of the bamboo species are Pleioblastus kongosanensis,Indocalamus decorus; In the road with less traffic flow,Sasaella glabra can be selected as the pavement greening plant. It not only has a good tolerance, but also has white and light green or green stripes on its leaves. It has a strong covering effect on particles and does not affect the ornamental value of plants.
