Anisotropic particles have plenty of applications in catalysts,coating,biological medicine and so on for their controllable size,adjustable morphology and topology,as well as precisely modified surface.The organic anisotropic particles and inorganic hollow particles which were based on polystyrene(PS)microspheres were synthesized via two different methods and the mechanism of polymerization was explained.Finally,the potential applications of functional particles were explored.The results of research were as follows:The first part concludes:Preparation of Poly(styrene-co-divinyl benzene-co-4vinyl benzyl chloride)/Polystyrene(P(St-co-DVB-co-VBC)/PS)anisotropic particles via emulsion interfacial polymerization;Proposal and verification of the mechanism of emulsion interfacial polymerization involved with slightly hydrophilic monomer(VBC);Synthesis of kinds of anisotropic particles with different shapes including bowllike,egg-like,hemispherical and concave particles with different degrees of crosslinking by changing the loading of styrene(St),divinyl benzene(DVB)and VBC;Preparation of "Walnut-like" anisotropic particles with heterostructure based on hydrophilic SPS particles(Sulfonated Polystyrene Particles).Finally,the fluorescent particles and bio-functional anisotropic particles were synthesized with two facial modification methods which provides a new idea for applications of anisotropic particles in labeling and biofunction.The second part concludes:Preparation of PS particles with different charges on their surface using APS and AIB A as initiator;Preparation of SiO2 hollow particles with different sizes,morphology and shell thickness by changing the PS templates and the loading of NH3·H2O and TEOS;Study on the difference in constructing the micro-nano structure with different sizes of SiO2 hollow particles,as well as between spherical and raspberry-like particles with the same diameter.The successful separation of emulsified oil in water with modified PVDF membrane provides new ideas for the applications of hollow SiO2 particles.
