With the rapid development of Internet users and worldwide communications,the number of users and applications of broadband broadband has grown significantly.As a result,there are higher requirements for WDM systems.The main factors that limit the long-distance and high-capacity transmission of WDM systems are loss,nonlinear effects and dispersion.Due to the influence of these three factors,the optical signal after a certain distance transmission pulse spreading and the formation of inter-code interference.Erbium-doped fiber amplifier solves the problem of communication system loss,dispersion and nonlinear effects are still a popular problem to be studied in WDM systems.In this thesis,the impact of different dispersion compensation techniques on the system performance is studied for WDM systems,and the main research work is as follows.Firstly,the mathematical derivation and analysis of the dispersion and nonlinear effects in fiber optic communication systems are presented,and the causes of dispersion and nonlinearity,dispersion compensation techniques and the effects of dispersion on communication systems are systematically discussed.The compensation principle of various compensation techniques is highlighted,and the cascaded FBG compensation scheme is studied based on the idea that FBG can both compensate dispersion and demultiplex,and the compensation scheme combining DCF and equalizer is studied based on the characteristics that equalizer can accurately compensate dispersion at the receiving end,low cost and can suppress nonlinear effects.Secondly,in the single-channel system,Opti System software is used to simulate the system design of different compensation schemes,and the simulation results show that the dispersion compensation scheme combining DCF and equalizer has better performance than DCF and FBG compensation schemes.This also provides a basis for the study of dispersion compensation schemes in WDM systems.Finally,the DCF branch compensation and FBG branch compensation are studied based on WDM system,based on which the simulation systems of cascaded FBG compensation scheme and combined DCF and equalizer compensation scheme are focused on,and the simulation experiments of different compensation techniques are conducted to analyze the effects of incoming power,FBG bandwidth and transmission distance of different compensation schemes on the performance of WDM system.The Q value of the cascaded FBG dispersion compensation scheme under the WDM system reaches 12.9,which is improved compared with the Q value of DCF and FBG branch compensation,and the compensation effect is better.the combined DCF and equalizer compensation scheme plays an improved role in the dispersion compensation effect of the system.
