Albert Einstein was the greatest scientist of the twentieth century. His theory of relativity and quantum mechanics are known as the two pillars of modern physics;the mass-energy relation is known as the most famous equation in the world;he was awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his "contributions to theoretical physics, especially the discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect".This was a key step in the development of quantum theory.Along with his brilliant career in physics,Einstein’s thinking on philosophical issues, especially in the philosophy of science, also had a wide and profound impact.Today, when science is developing even more rapidly,it is a rich treasure trove of ideas for us to reflect on the future of science and humanity. This paper is divided into five parts.First,it introduces the objectives and significance of the thesis research, and composes the main ideas, contents and methods of previous studies, and analyzes them accordingly, which is also the basis of this paper’s research. His Jewish and Catholic education played an important role in shaping his character;then the main scientific achievements of Einstein’s life are introduced. The third chapter belongs to Einstein’s positivistic understanding of the object of scientific research. It elaborates his view of the origin of the world, matter, and explores the conflict between positivism and quantum mechanics, while showing Einstein’s transcendental view of space-time by comparing the classical view of space-time of scientists and philosophers before Einstein. The fourth chapter belongs to the category of scientific methodology, presenting the holistic method, the thinking and debating method, and the intuitiondeduction method used in Einstein’s scientific research through his most representative theories of relativity and unified field. The last part belongs to the issue of scientific value theory and explores Einstein’s views on the relationship between science and religion based on the analysis of his understanding of religion. On the basis of referring to the ideas of previous researchers, this paper does not expect a comprehensive and systematic summary of the development process and changes of his lifelong scientific-philosophical thought, but combines the literature of domestic and foreign scholars with a large number of relevant lectures and videos to analyze the most essential parts of his thought on ontology, methodology and value theory,in order to find some ignored shining points from them.
