In optical communication system,the cumulative positive dispersion during the fiber transmission will cause the bit error rate to increase.Therefore,it is necessary to use dispersion compensation fiber to reduce the negative effect of positive dispersion.The design of microstructure fiber(MSF)is flexible and its properties are novel.The integration of dispersion compensation property and other properties,such as polarization maintaining and large-mode area,will simultaneously enrich the applications of the fiber.However,the traditional optical numerical analysis can only optimize the fiber structure by trial and error,which has a low success rate and takes a long time.Therefore,the innovative thinking method of TRIZ theory is combined with the optical numerical analysis method.The combination design of the fiber properties and fiber structure is realized,and the new dispersion compensation MSFs are explored.The paper is mainly as follows.Firstly,the research background and importance of the topic are introduced,and the traditional optical numerical analysis used to find the corresponding relationship between the target property and the fiber structure is explained.At the same time,the fusion idea of TRIZ theory and MSF design is given.The advancement of dispersion compensation MSF and TRIZ theory is presented both domestically and internationally.Secondly,the paper introduces common numerical analysis methods,mode coupling,and basic steps of function analysis in TRIZ theory.At the same time,the optical properties and function analysis of the traditional coaxial dual-core dispersion compensation MSF are carried out.Thirdly,the key problems of engineering system are identified by cause-effect chain analysis.Based on technical contradiction and inventive principle,a solution to the key problem is proposed in combination with the coupled mode theory,so as to realize the design of multi-core coupling dispersion compensation MSF.Forthly,the cause-effect chain analysis is used to further analyze the polarization maintaining property,and then the key problems of the engineering system are identified.Based on physical contradiction and separation principle,a solution to the key problem is proposed in combination with the knowledge of polarization maintaining property,so as to realize the design of single-core polarization maintaining dispersion compensation MSF.Finally,the cause-effect chain analysis is used to further analyze the large-mode area property and then identify the key problems of the engineering system.Using technical contradiction and inventive principle,this paper gives some ideas to solve the key problems.By comparing the results of a variety of large-mode area dispersion compensation MSFs,the key features of the optimized structures are extracted,and then the optimized large-mode area dispersion compensation MSFs are designed.
