In recent decades, the number of wild crested ibis population has increased rapidly.Since 2012,the number of crested ibis in high-altitude mountain areas of Yangxian County has reached its environmental tolerance threshold.Due to limited food resources, crested ibis population began to spread to Yangxian County and Chenggu plain areas with abundant food resources such as paddy fields and wetlands. In the process of spreading to the plain, the wild ibis population abandoned their nests in a wide range in the urbanrural cross area.It is difficult to develop a conservation plan for the problem of nest abandonment of crested ibis. The difficulty lies in the lack of a framework to identify potential nest abandonment of crested ibis.At present, most studies related to nest abandonment of crested ibis focus on the causes of nest abandonment and the evaluation of disturbance factors leading to nest abandonment, but there is a lack of research on the identification and prediction of potential nest abandonment habitat. Therefore, how to apply the research results of nest abandonment of crested ibis to construct the mechanism of habitat pattern optimization in response to nest abandonment behavior of crested ibis has become a key scientific problem to be solved. In conclusion, due to the lack of research on the identification methods of potential nest abandonment habitat of crested ibis, this study aims to integrate and summarize the theoretical framework and technical route of potential nest abandonment habitat identification of crested ibis based on the research results related to nest abandonment of crested ibis, and on the basis of integrating the knowledge of avian ecology, landscape ecology, conservation biology and other disciplines under the discipline of landscape architecture.Taking Yangxian and Chenggu as the research objects, the potential nest abandonment habitat of crested ibis is identified and the strategy of habitat pattern optimization for coping with nest abandonment behavior of crested ibis is proposed,so as to provide reference for the study of potential nest abandonment habitat pattern optimization of birds.Focusing on the above key scientific issues, the main contents of this study are as follows:(1)Identification of potential nest abandonment habitat of Crested ibis in Yangxian and Chenggu.By integrating relevant literatures on nest abandonment of crested ibis, the identification framework of potential nest abandonment habitat of crested ibis is constructed.Yangxian and Chenggu are taken as research objects to evaluate the suitability and disturbance of nesting sites and extract the core areas of Yangxian and Chenggu based on MSPA.The above results are superimposed to extract areas with high suitability, high disturbance and high connectivity,so as to obtain the identification results of potential nest abandonment habitat of crested ibis. The results of comparison with the distribution map of crested ibis abandoned nests showed that the recognition results were accurate.(2)Construction of ecological network in response to nest abandonment behavior of crested ibis.According to the landscape connectivity of the graph theory, the potential nesting habitat of crested ibis was graded into 5 levels. The INVEST model was used to set the migration resistance surface of crested ibis, and the graphic design was carried out.The parameters of the resistance surface were set according to the resistance surface of related birds. Finally, the results of ecological network construction in response to nest abandonment behavior of crested ibis were obtained.(3)Study on the optimization strategy of potential abandoned nest habitat pattern of Crested ibis.A pattern optimization strategy for potential abandoned nest habitat of crested ibis was proposed based on multi-scale.According to the results of ecological network construction and the distribution map of abandoned nest points, the key habitat restoration points were determined, and the landscape planning and design were carried out for the key areas of corridor and source areas respectively.Meanwhile, the optimization and restoration strategies were proposed for the habitat elements according to the pattern of "patch-corridor-matrix".The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Integrate relevant studies on nest abandonment of crested ibis and construct a framework for identifying potential nest abandonment of crested ibisBased on the review of studies on nest abandonment of crested ibis, the identification framework of potential nest abandonment habitat of crested ibis is integrated, according to which the potential nest abandonment habitat of crested ibis is identified. The identification results are basically consistent with the distribution map of nest abandonment sites, which proves that the identification framework is scientific and accurate to a certain extent.(2)Multi-scale optimization of potential nest abandonment habitat pattern in response to nest abandonment behavior of crested ibisWith the help of the theoretical tools of landscape ecology,we construct ecological networks to cope with nest abandonment of crested ibis, and propose the potential nest abandonment habitat planning approaches to cope with nest abandonment of crested ibis from a multi-scale perspective: "multi-network symbiosis" ecological network construction at the regional scale; At the local scale, habitat pattern optimization in key areas of corridor of "forest building";Optimization of habitat pattern in key areas of the source area of "human-bird symbiosis" at patch scale.(3)Identification and landscape planning and design of key crested ibis habitat restoration sitesIn this paper,in terms of the identification of key crested ibis habitat restoration sites, the corridor barrier points located in the core of crested ibis and the conventional nest areas are selected as the key crested ibis habitat restoration sites, and the typical sites are practiced in landscape planning and design.
