| Polarization is an important feature of electromagnetic waves,which describes the trajectory of electric field vector of electromagnetic waves in free spaces during the transmission process.In recent years,the latest research on polarization conversion devices have mainly used metasurface to achieve polarization regulation of frequency bands such as microwave and Terahertz.The metasurface can be regarded as the two-dimensional correspondence of metamaterial.It is an artificial electromagnetic structure with subwavelength,which has the characteristics of low profile,low loss,easy processing,and easy integration.The metasurface has opened up new technical approaches to achieve more efficient and miniaturized polarization conversion devices.Because the traditional opaque metal polarization conversion metasurface exists certain restrictions in the application,available transparent polarization conversion metasurface has problems such as narrow band and low conversion efficiency.In this study background,this article takes the polarization regulation of electromagnetic waves as the research focus.Based on the propagation theory of electromagnetic waves in the anisotropic metasurface,the transparent cross-polarization converter in the microwave frequency band is designed.The main content of this article:1.Designed a dual-band reflective transparent polarization metasurface,which can be applied to the X and Ku frequency bands of the microwave.This structure can rotate a linearly polarized incident wave into its orthogonal direction in the frequency bands of 7.1-10.7 GHz and 14.9-18.3GHz.which has the characteristics of frequency band selection,simple structure,and low section.In addition,this polarization converter has the characteristic of frequency selection,simple structure and miniaturization.2.We propose a novel transparent wideband reflective metasurface based on indium tin oxide(ITO)material.Simulation results show that the polarization conversion ratio(PCR)reaches 90% in the range of 10.9 to 20.5GHz.In addition,the thickness of this structure is 0.065λ(where λ is the free-space wavelength at the center frequency of the operating bandwidth),which has the characteristics of miniaturization,high polarization conversion efficiency,and high light transmission.The proposed transparent cross-polarization converter may be used in the devices integrated with solar cells.3.Based on the low-profile polarization conversion metasurface,combining the unit of the PCM and patch antenna,the unit and antenna have the same profile and share the same metallic ground.Besides,reference antenna uses the same transparent lossy materials.We propose a transparent microstrip antenna with low RCS,which achieves the RCS reduction with the average monostatic RCS reduction of 10 d B within the 10.9-20.5GHz range.It solves difficulties for the metasurface to consider to both the radiation and the scattering of the antenna.This article focuses on modeling design and simulation,optimization parameters,polarization conversion performance,and related regulatory theory.The experimental results show that the design of the novel transparent metasurface based on indium tin oxide(ITO)has the characteristics of high efficiency,miniaturization,and high light transmission,which enriches the design method of polarization converters. |
