| As China’s urbanization process is still in a high-speed development stage, urban problems remain prominent.Functional zoning is an effective means of resolving contradictions between different urban activities and urban resources, and the identification of urban functional areas can help coordinate urban land use planning and solve problems encountered in urban development. In addition,POI data has rich semantic information, and is updated quickly and has broad coverage.Information mining of POI data can provide a clear understanding of the spatial pattern of urban functions, thereby optimizing the city’s spatial structure and enhancing the rationality of spatial utilization. When identifying urban functional areas,if the identification unit area is small, the frequency density model is too heavily influenced by data proportion, leading to unsatisfactory identification results and insufficient depth in urban spatial information mining. To address this issue, this paper constructs a frequency-inverse probability model to calculate weights through the study of the term frequency-inverse document principle in text mining algorithms,in order to improve the practicality of the identification results and deepen the mining of urban spatial information.Furthermore,as Guiyang is one of the important central cities in Southwest China, identifying its functional zone spatial structure information has significant practical significance. Therefore, this paper selects Guiyang as the research area to identify and analyze its urban functional areas, and uses hotspot detection and location entropy models to calculate spatial intensity to depict the local characteristics of Guiyang’s urban space. Then, from a holistic perspective, kernel density estimation and standard deviation ellipse analysis methods are used to study the clustering and directional features of urban functional elements. At the same time,to understand the spatial allocation of urban functional resources, this paper quantifies the clustering characteristics of urban functional elements and calculates spatial correlation based on the correlation value to measure the allocation situation. Finally, through spatio-temporal analysis results, the paper evaluates the current state of urban development and provides optimization suggestions. The main research work and results of this paper are summarized as follows:(1)The paper selected POI data for Guiyang in 2016 and 2021,where the proportion of commercial functional zone type POIs reached about 76%.Without weighting, the frequency density method was used to identify the functional zones in Guiyang in 2016,and 2057 effective units were identified, with the proportion of commercial functional zones being 58%.By constructing a frequency-inverse probability model and frequency density model to identify urban functional areas, the proportion of identified commercial functional zones decreased to 9%,and the accuracy was good when selecting representative areas for result validation. This weight model reduces the influence of a certain type of POI having a high proportion, improves the identification accuracy, avoids the subjectivity of traditional weighting methods, and deepens the mining of urban spatial information.(2)From the results of hotspot detection and spatial intensity, the spatial intensity of commercial functions weakened over time, and the concentration of commercial functions in Guiyang was relatively low and distributed reasonably evenly.Looking at the changes in hotspot numbers and spatial intensity, after 5 years of urban development, the construction of industrial, public service, and transportation facilities in Guiyang has led to a decrease in the specialization of various types of urban functional facilities in different regions of the city.As the number of various types of urban facilities in the region increases, the dominance of individual urban functions weakens, and the city’s internal functions gradually become more complete.(3)From the perspectives of agglomeration features and directional features,Guiyang city presents a multi-center development trend, among which the urban functional facilities in Guanshanhu district are developing rapidly. The industrial and residential functional facilities of Guiyang city show an obvious trend of outward expansion in terms of direction, while public service facilities show an internal contraction trend in development. From the results of spatial correlation analysis, the correlation between residential and industrial facilities in Guiyang city is 0.7887,and the correlation with public service and transportation facilities is0.973 and 0.9696 respectively. This indicates that the residential areas in Guiyang city are not affected by industrial production and have good public facilities and transportation resources, which makes Guiyang city more livable in this aspect. The correlation between transportation and industrial facilities is only 0.8082,while the correlation with other facilities is above 0.85,indicating that there is still room for improvement in the transportation function in the area where industrial facilities are located.(4)Through the results of functional area identification and spatiotemporal analysis of Guiyang city,an evaluation of the current development status of Guiyang city is given, and optimization strategies are proposed from three aspects: urban functional distribution, development, and configuration.Guiyang city should coordinate the relationship between the core and the edge, accelerate the guidance of some urban functional facilities to the urban periphery layout, and alleviate the carrying pressure of the old city area.At the same time, optimize the development and construction of Guanshanhu district, promote the formation of a dual-core development mode, and improve the urban strength.Increase the construction of transportation facilities in the area where industrial facilities are located, promote industrial specialization and regionalization, and further develop the city’s industry. |
