Rapid and accurate measurement of particle size has important research significance in domestic production,aerospace research and environmental energy.However,the solution of particle size is difficult to obtain an accurate solution because of the discomfort of the problem itself.Particularly with the expansion of the scale of the problem,the traditional solution method has low efficiency and accuracy,which has great limitations.Therefore,the inversion algorithm with high precision and strong robustness is needed to solve this problem in light scattering measurement.This paper has done the following work:(1)A cuckoo search algorithm based on Weibull distribution is proposed to solve the inversion problem of particle size distribution.Since the original cuckoo search algorithm realizes random walk through Levy flight,this walk is a walk between long step and short step,which will lead to weak ergodicity of the algorithm.Therefore,Weibull distribution was introduced into Levy flight.The Weibull distribution cuckoo search algorithm was used to invert the particle size distribution of complex particle systems subject to three distribution functions,and the accuracy and anti-noise performance were compared with those of Cauchy,Pareto and Mittag-Leffler heavy-tailed distribution cuckoo search algorithms.(2)Adaptive parameter cuckoo search algorithm is proposed and combined with Weibull distribution to improve the inversion accuracy.Cuckoo search algorithm is completely dependent on stochastic updating strategy,which is due to the fact that Levy fight neutrals are static parameters.In this paper,the static parameter is changed to the dynamic adaptive parameter which changes with the number of iterations and the fitness value,and is introduced to the Weibull distributed cuckoo search algorithm to improve the accuracy and anti-noise performance of particle size distribution inversion.(3)A small-angle forward scattering particle size measurement system was built to conduct experimental study on particle size distribution.Unimodal particles of 50μm,Bimodal particles of 50μm and 100μm and trimodal particles of 10μm,50μm and 100μm were measured to extract the actual scattering light energy distribution.Using Weibull distribution cuckoo search algorithm and Weibull distribution adaptive parameter cuckoo search algorithm for particle size distribution inversion,compared with other algorithms to verify the effectiveness of the improved algorithm in the experiment.This paper verifies the practicability of cuckoo search algorithm in particle size inversion from two aspects of algorithm improvement and experimental research.The theory and experiment show that this algorithm has broad application prospect.
