| With orienteering being officially included in the 2022 physical education and health curriculum standards,as well as in the curriculum standards of mathematics and geography,which explicitly mention the integration of various disciplines with orienteering practices and innovative development,more and more schools are starting to develop orienteering on campus.The orienteering map is a necessary condition for the development of orienteering,and the demand for campus orienteering maps is increasing,but due to the lack of professional cartographers in China,the development of campus orienteering is limited.The purpose of this paper is to provide a new method for orienteering mapping under the premise of ensuring the accuracy of the map,which can improve the efficiency of mapping and provide a simple,convenient and error-reducing means for mappers while reducing the pressure of field mapping.This paper mainly adopts the research methods of literature,fieldwork,expert interview,questionnaire,measurement and mathematical statistics to evaluate the application effect of UAV aerial survey-assisted campus orientation movement mapping.In the pre-survey stage,20 professional cartographers were invited to rate the two types of base maps,traditional satellite remote sensing image maps and UAV orthophoto maps,in each dimension to compare their advantages and disadvantages and to point out the direction for the later study;in the formal survey stage,athletes were invited to evaluate the mapping effect of orienteering maps.The distances and angles of 27 feature points were measured using two mapping methods to analyze the accuracy.According to the orienteering map rating standards,a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the campus orienteering map drawn with the aid of UAV aerial survey was conducted from the basic elements of the orienteering map,the accuracy of the features,the number of features and the post-use evaluation,and the following conclusions were finally drawn.Conclusions:(1)The traditional way of drawing orienteering motion maps is cumbersome in steps,inefficient and costly,and cannot meet the current requirements of efficient,accurate and convenient mapping.(2)The orthophoto map generated by UAV aerial survey has high resolution clarity and very strong presentability,contains rich and detailed geographic information,and shows high technical advantages in image information pre-processing of directional motion map features.(3)The campus orienteering map assisted by UAV aerial survey meets the evaluation standard of excellent orienteering map in all aspects,the number of features per unit area is more than 5/cm~2,the overall number of features is more than that of traditional mapping,and the accuracy of the map is much higher than that of traditional mapping.(4)UAV aerial survey has a good application effect in assisting campus orienteering map drawing.The orthophoto image is rich in details,which can greatly save the cartographer’s internal and external mapping time and improve the mapping efficiency,thus effectively reducing the cost of orienteering map drawing.(5)The application of UAV aerial survey to campus orienteering mapping will become a new development direction in the field of orienteering mapping. |
