Since the first pulsar was discovered in 1967 by Ms.Jocelyn Bell,a graduate student from the University of Cambridge in the UK,while studying radio signals in the Milky Way galaxy, pulsars becoming an important tool and research object in the study of astral physics, relativity, astrophysics and other fields. It has greatly promoted the development of astronomy, physics, space navigation and other related fields. With the improvement in the performance of the telescope equipment also brings new challenges. The amount of observation data from the telescope is more massive compared to the previous equipment, which brings greater pressure on the storage and processing of pulsar data. From the perspective of pulsar search technology, this article aims to optimize the time-consuming algorithm in the single pulse search process based on the technical characteristics of the single pulse search process. This paper optimizes the algorithm to reduce the computation and improve the search efficiency,so as to improve the data processing performance.Compared with the original version of the program, the optimized algorithm has a certain acceleration effect on different data and different configurations of the computer, the acceleration is about 1.4~2times.At the same time, this article also uses parallel technology to parallelize the CPU for single pulse search.Through parallel this processing, single pulse search tasks can be allocated to multiple processors for simultaneous calculation, thus making full use of the computing resources of multi-core processors and improving the speed and efficiency of data processing. The experimental results show that the optimized parallelization of the single pulse search algorithm has a speedup of about 5 to 16 times compared to the original version of the search program on computers with different data and different configurations.Through the optimization and parallelization in this paper, the computational efficiency of single pulse search has been greatly improved, and it can process the huge pulsar search data more efficiently, which provides strong support for the pulsar research.
