With the popularity of modernist architecture and the acceleration of urbanization, the same type of architectural styles have appeared in both South and North China. The design takes less consideration of climate zoning and regionality. Most of them use active technologies such as air conditioning to adjust the indoor environment, resulting in a large amount of building energy consumption, which is unfavorable to sustainable development. However,Chinese traditional architecture emphasizes adjusting measures to local conditions and the integration of man and nature.Under the condition of limited energy and technology,it adapts to different environmental climates through architectural forms, reflecting the simple response of the ancients to the living environment, which coincides with the passive energy-saving demand of green buildings. Therefore, the climate adaptability strategy and construction experience of traditional residential buildings are worthy of in-depth excavation. The existing residential research pays more attention to the area and focuses on qualitative analysis. With the cross integration of disciplines, the principle of quantitative statistical analysis is gradually carried out in the field of architecture. Therefore,on the basis of previous studies on traditional dwellings, this paper takes 40 courtyard-style dwellings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in central and eastern China as the research object, takes the spatial model of traditional dwellings as the research content, and makes a quantitative study on their relationship with regional climate to reveal the internal correlation between them. The research results show that the influence intensity of regional climate on the traditional courtyard-style residential space can be roughly divided into four categories: 1)Strong influence type: Outdoor Space Density Index and Plot Ratio Index;2)Significant influence type: Intermediary Space Density Index,Width-Depth ratio Of Outdoor and Height-Depth ratio Of Outdoor;3)Weak influence type: Roof Slope Coefficient and Height-Depth ratio Of Intermediary;4)Few influence type: Interior Space Density Index,Width-Depth ratio Of Interior,Height-Depth ratio Of Interior,Shape Coefficient Of Building,Area Ratio Of Window to The Wall Of Main Direction. In general, the spatial organization of traditional dwellings is most affected by climate, followed by spatial form, and other spatial elements are less affected by climate. The structure of the full text is as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly clarifies the research background and significance of this paper, and clarifies the research method and follow-up technical route. Then through the summary of domestic and foreign research theories and practical cases, the paper defines the research direction and methods. The second chapter describes the selection of research variables and the determination of analysis methods. It describes the evaluation indicators of the independent variable regional climate and the dependent variable residential space combination model, and elaborates the application of the quantitative method. The third, fourth and fifth chapters are the core empirical research contents.which respectively carry out multiple regression analysis on the residential spatial model and regional climate factors, and explore the internal correlation. Finally, five factors with significant influence are selected from the thirteen regional climate elements. The sixth chapter is the summary and Prospect of climate adaptability of residential spatial model. In this chapter, the twelve residential spatial models are divided into four categories according to the intensity of climate impact.Among them, the strong impact type includes two types of spatial models, the significant impact type includes three types of spatial models, the weak impact type includes two types of spatial models, and the weak impact type includes five types of spatial models. |
