| Grassland is one of the important components of carbon cycle in terrestrial ecosystem,and grazing is one of the main management methods of grassland.Among grassland grazing ecosystems,there are few studies on the carbon transformation process of mountain meadow ecosystems by different grazing methods.This study takes the mountainous meadows of the Kanas Scenic Spot in the Altai Mountains of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region as the research object,and sets up four grazing methods:no grazing(NG),single horse grazing(HG),single cattle grazing(CG),and mixed grazing of horses and cattle.(MG).To explore the effects of different grazing methods on plant community characteristics and different stages of carbon transformation in mountain meadow ecosystems(aboveground and underground carbon input,litter decomposition,soil nutrients,and soil carbon emissions),and to clarify the effects of different grazing methods on mountain meadow ecosystems The inherent laws of the carbon transformation process in order to provide data support for the sustainable management of mountain meadows.The scientific research conclusions are as follows:(1)Grazing changed the structure and composition of mountain meadow plant co mmunities.MG is effective in maintaining the functional group composition and biodi versity of mountain meadow plant communities.(2)The phenomenon of shallow root system was obvious under the three grazing methods of HG,CG and MG.The grazing disturbance increased the weight loss rate and decomposition rate of apoplast,which accelerated the decomposition of apoplast.(3)The three grazing methods of CG,HG and MG all increased the content of soil organic carbon and total nitrogen,and decreased the content of phosphorus in the soil.The carbon mineralization rate,cumulative mineralization amount,under different stocking methods,the potential acidification amount and the potential acidification amount of soil organic matter carbonation in the whole process are higher than the bottom layer,and the organic carbonation rate and accumulated acidification amount are both the largest in July.The acidification rate and accumulation of organic carbon in different months and soil layers have the same development trend,namely NG>HG≈CG>MG.Compared with other grazing methods,mixed grazing has weaker organic carbon mineralization ability,that is,stronger carbon sequestration ability.The three grazing methods of HG,CG,and MG all decreased the soil respiration rate of mountain meadows,among which MG decreased the most.Different grazing modes decreased the value of Q10in different months.MG enhanced soil potential organic carbon accumulation in montane meadows. |
