Brain-computer interface(BCI)is a novel communication mode.It converts EEG signals from the brain into computer commands and establishes a direct communication channel between the human brain and output devices.In the field of BCI,BCI based on steady-state visual evoked potential(SSVEP)has been widely studied because of its high information transfer rate(ITR),less electrodes and simpler system and experimental design.However,there are still some problems in the current SSVEP-BCI systematic review.In terms of paradigm evaluation,many studies have limited number of subjects and too few performance evaluation indicators.In addition,there is also the problem of a small number of subjects in algorithm evaluation.In addition,the current SSVEP-BCI research is mostly exploratory research to propose new paradigms,new algorithms,and new applications,and there are very few topics related to system evaluation.To solve these problems,this paper designs and implements a universal brain-computer interface system test platform,which provides perfect technical support and new evaluation ideas for the comparative study of SSVEP-BCI.Based on the test platform,this study evaluated the performance of different SSVEP-BCI stimulation paradigms and analysis algorithms,and proposed an evaluation and screening method of SSVEP-BCI subjects for specific paradigms and algorithms.In terms of paradigm evaluation,this study takes the algorithm and subjects as control variables and braincomputer interface paradigm as independent variables to evaluate three SSVEP paradigms from the aspects of signal characteristics,signal strength,BCI performance,universality and comfort,and select the optimal paradigm.In terms of algorithm evaluation,this study takes the paradigm and subjects as control variables and the algorithm as independent variables to study the relationship between the algorithm and BCI system performance from the aspects of BCI performance and the amount of training data,so as to select the optimal algorithm.In terms of subject evaluation,this study sets the paradigm and algorithm as the control variables,takes the subjects as the independent variables,evaluates the subjects from the aspects of BCI performance and paradigm acceptance,and selects the best subjects.Finally,this study uses the combination of optimal paradigm+optimal algorithm+optimal subjects to verify the feasibility of the evaluation idea.The experimental results show that the test platform and evaluation idea of this study can select the best operation candidate for SSVEP-BCI,and has application value in the practical application and promotion of BCI. |
