As an important component of space environment, space magnetic field is meaningful to the in-depth study of many fields of geophysics and space physics. The scalar magnetic field sensor based on atomic effect and fluxgate vector magnetic field sensor are mainly used in near-earth space magnetic field detection missions. The scalar magnetic field detected by the scalar magnetic field sensor has absolute accuracy in principle and can be used as the in-orbit magnetic field reference to assist vector magnetic field sensor to complete in-orbit calibration. However, the in orbit self-calibration of true accuracy of scalar magnetic field detection can not be realized,so it is an effective means of space scientific detection to use the data of scalar magnetic field sensors of multiple satellites operating simultaneously in space environment for cross comparison analysis. This method is of great significance for evaluating the long-term reliability of scalar magnetic field data and the in-orbit stability of scalar magnetic field detection payloads.Based on the in-orbit scalar magnetic field data detected by CSES and Swarm satellites,cross-comparison method and long-term data analysis were studied in this paper.Firstly, similar time interval and space distance of the two satellites are applied as the condition, and several spatial-temporal combination criteria are set to screen the data. The limit of geomagnetic index and data flags are also considered.CHAOS model is used to calibrate the magnetic field difference due to the time and space differences, forming a complete set of data comparison method between satellites. This method proves that in a certain space and time range, when CHAOS model is used as an intermediate tool for the comparison and analysis of scalar magnetic field data between different satellites, the data screening does not need to strictly limit the consistency of time and space.Furthermore, the consistency of the long-term data in2019~2020 is analyzed, the trend and regularity of the difference between the in-orbit data and the theoretical value of the model are visualized and analyzed, and the possible related reasons are discussed. The results show that in the night-side orbits, the mean difference between CDSM data of CSES and ASM data of Swarm Bravo near dipole latitude ± 35 ° is 1.73 n T,the scalar magnetic field data of the two satellites are in good agreement with CHAOS model, and the scalar magnetic field detection payloads of the two satellites have maintained long-term stability in orbit. The inter-satellite cross-comparison analysis method of in-orbit data proposed in this paper is applied to multi-satellite comparison analysis, which proves the validity and applicability of the data screening criteria and the cross-comparison analysis method using CHAOS model, providing a reference for the in-orbit data comparison of similar satellite payloads in the future.
