Submarine cables are the main artery of transoceanic communication,and submarine pipelines are the fastest,safest,most economical and reliable way of marine oil and gas transportation.Under the harsh marine environment,whether it is communication cables or oil and gas pipelines,exposed on the seabed of the shallow sea is often more susceptible to various forms of damage such as seawater corrosion,wave impact,biological bite,and ship anchoring,resulting in huge economic loss.In order to ensure the safety and stability of submarine pipelines and cables,the more common method is to use related equipment such as trenchers to bury cables or pipelines in the seabed.The submarine jet trencher uses high-pressure water jets to erode and break the soil,form trenches and bury pipelines in them.Compared with other ditching methods,it has fewer moving parts,only needs a small drag force,is not easy to cause damage to the pipeline,and has high reliability.However,in terms of overall structural design,there are often problems such as heavy weight and low efficiency.In this paper,according to the geological conditions and trenching requirements of the Bay of Bengal waters,an underwater jet trencher with light structure and self-propelled characteristics is designed,and relevant experimental studies are carried out.Firstly,according to the geological conditions of the specific sea area and the demand for the trench shape in the engineering application,the design requirements and research plan for the subsea jet trencher are put forward,and then on the basis of the design content of the trencher conceptual model,carry out the design and improvement of the overall structure,select the material of each component,and carry out theoretical calculation work related to the stability of the overall structure.Then,the designed model is scaled according to the ratio of 1:4,and based on the gravity similarity theory,a test plan of a jet trencher model prototype is designed,a test pool is established,and the test prototype is processed and assembled.Corrected and improved the problems existing in the prototype.Finally,according to the test plan,the verification test of the ultimate ground-breaking effect of the trencher,the verification test of the self-propelled effect of the trencher,the optimization test of the trencher parameters,and the test of the cable buried effect of the trencher were carried out.The test results show that the designed submarine jet The trencher can realize the trenching in the submerged state,and at the same time can carry out the work of self-propelling and burying the cable,which verifies that the trencher can meet the trenching requirements in the actual project and the feasibility of its structural design.Provide relevant theory and basis for promoting the research and development progress and practical application of this type of product. |
