| Magnetic fields affects chemical reactions through acting on ions, electriferous groups and magnetic particles.Gas explosion is a chain reaction process of free radicals, which are paramagnetic species.Magnetic fields can affect gas explosion by acting on the key species, free radicals,of chain reaction.Curently, the magnetic fields has an in-depth effect on ion-type reaction and engine combustion, but the research on the influence and mechanism of magnetic fields effect on gas explosion is not deep enough.A research method was proposed, which can explore the mechanism of premixed combustible gas explosion under the effect of magnetic fields. The influence of magnetic fields on the explosion characteristics and products of different premixed combustible gas was studied experimentally. The free radical reaction process of different premixed combustible gas explosion was numerically simulated.Based on the simulation results, the forces of magnetic fields on key free radicals was calculated and analyzed.Thereby the effect mechanism of magnetic fields on premixed combustible gases explosion was revealed. The experiments of non-uniform magnetic field on methane, ethane, propane, ethylene and acetylene premixed gases explosion were studied.Through collecting the explosion pressure data and flame propagation velocity, the influence of magnetic fields on explosion characteristics is explored. The explosion products were quantitatively analyzed by a combination analysis of gas chromatography and mass spectrometry, and the influence law of magnetic fields on explosion products was obtained. The gas explosion was numerical simulated by Chemkin-Pro software, and the key free radicals and important elementary reactions in the explosion process was obtained.Combined with the simulation results, the Curie ’ s Law and the theory of magnetic fields force on free radicals, the gradient magnetic fields force on key free radicals were calculate. The results show that the magnetic fields suppress the explosion of premixed combustible gas compared with the non-magnetic fields, and the suppression effect increases with the increase of magnetic fields strength. The magnetic fields changes the reaction paths of combustible gas explosion, the chain reaction terminates in advance, and increases the total contents of intermediate products including hydrocarbons generated in explosion, resulting in the decrease of explosion pressure and flame propagation velocity of premixed combustible gas. |
