CFD Study On Wind Environment Of Residential Quarters

Abstract/Summary:
This subject is to carry out CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics)simulation research on the wind environment of residential quarters.The FLUENT software is used to mesh and calculate the research object,and the software TECPLOT is used to post-process the results of FLUENT simulation,and the wind pressure cloud map,velocity vector map,wind speed cloud map and vorticity distribution map are obtained.Then the post-processing results are analyzed and studied.It mainly studies the wind pressure distribution on the windward side of buildings in residential quarters,the wind speed distribution at the pedestrian height of 1.5m,the turbulent vortex distribution and vorticity number in residential quarters,and studies the microclimate and wind environment in residential quarters by processing and analyzing the simulation results.In this study,taking a residential district in Wanquan District of Zhangjiakou as an example,the wind environment of the residential district was measured on the spot,and the wind speed in the transition gap between summer and autumn and winter was measured respectively.This subject has carried out three numerical simulations of different initial wind speeds,and according to the results of the third simulation,considering the three cloud pictures of wind pressure,wind speed and turbulent vortex distribution,four measuring points with characteristics of wind environment and factors including exploration targets are selected,so as to measure the wind speed in residential quarters,mainly recording instantaneous wind speed and average wind speed.After each measurement,the first-hand data is analyzed,and the representative wind speed measured at No.1 point is selected for simulation,which is the first simulation and the second simulation respectively.Then,the obtained simulation result data is compared with the original data obtained from the actual measurement,and the relationship between simulation and actual measurement is analyzed.From the analysis of the completed measured data,in the measured data,the velocity change trend of each measuring point is exactly the same,but there will be time lag.The curve drawn by the measured data also reflects that the frequency of wind speed change in residential quarters is very fast.Finally,through comparative analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:Firstly,by taking the measured wind speed as the entrance wind speed of the wind field simulation,the wind field simulation of the plot model is carried out twice.The results show that the range of wind speed values obtained by the wind field simulation contains the measured wind speed values,and the wind speed values are very close,which proves the scientificity and reliability of the numerical simulation.Secondly,the arrangement of residential buildings will have a great influence on the distribution of wind speed,wind pressure and turbulence in the residential area.For example,the residential area layout studied in this thesis is a mixture of oblique and determinant.Besides the poor wind conditions in the residential area in windy weather,the natural wind flow in the residential area can also be achieved when the wind speed is small.Thirdly,it is found that the narrow pipe effect exists in residential quarters,which will cause a sudden increase in wind speed and wind pressure.Considering that the wind direction of Summer and winter in Zhangjiakou is different in two seasons,and the wind speed is higher all the year round,and the temperature in winter is very low.It is suggested that for the residential quarters in Zhangjiakou area,more tall shrubs such as ginkgo trees and elms should be planted in the north and northwest corners or attached facilities such as wind walls should be built,while there should be no facilities to block the wind flow in the south and southeast corners of the quarters.This improvement measure will not only make the residents of the quarters feel more cool in summer,but also avoid the biting wind frequently in winter.At the same time,it will increase the green area of the quarters and ensure the safety and comfort of the residents of the quarters.Fourthly,the edge wind effect at the edge and corner of the building will produce the extreme wind conditions with positive and negative values adjacent to each other,which will lead to the risk of falling off of the pendant on the outer wall of the building.For the parts of buildings prone to edge wind effect,they should be inspected regularly to avoid causing harm to residents in the community.Fifth,for the completed residential quarters,it is recommended to plant tall shrubs,plan green belts on both sides of the roads or build wind-proof walls and other ancillary facilities to change the wind environment in the residential quarters where sudden changes in wind speed and turbulence are easy to occur.For the unfinished residential quarters,we can put forward optimization suggestions according to the planning scheme,such as changing the layout of residential quarters according to the construction objectives and simulation research,arranging the positions of high and low-rise buildings to ensure the natural circulation of the wind environment in the residential quarters,or planning the air duct in advance in the residential quarters,etc.These schemes are feasible in practical application.
