| The Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment discovered the non-zero neutrino oscillation angle θ13 in 2012,and has maintained the most accurate measurement of this parameter in the world with increasing statistics. The experiment used three different halls,a dedicated muon detector and eight identical detector units to collect high statistics and high precision neutrino events and other events. This thesis reports a preliminary study of cosmic muon modulation and the muon induced correlated backgrounds in the inverse beta decay using 1800 days data.Correlations between muon and atmospheric effective temperature have been observed in many experiments including Daya Bay experiment using 621 days of data.In this thesis, about 3 times of the previous analysis statistics are used to study the variation of cosmic muons with atmospheric temperature, and the preliminary results are obtained. The results show that with the increased of statistics, the linear correlation between cosmic muons and effective temperature deviates, and this deviation is further studied.9Li/8He and fast neutron background induced by cosmic muons are the main correlated backgrounds in the inverse beta decay samples for the neutrino oscillation analysis. The thesis studied the correlated background in inverse beta decay sample tagged by neutron capture on hydrogen.Preliminary results on the rates and prompt spectrum of these two backgrounds are obtained. |
