This thesis aims to promote and realize the automation of related experimental procedures of photonic crystals,including the autofocus of photonic crystal under microscope,the automatic measurement of photonic crystal diameter,the collection of photonic crystal spectral data and the application of the photonic crystal automatic characterization system to the detection of amphetamine drugs.Photonic crystal structure has periodic refractive index.Because of its special optical properties,photonic crystal has many applications in optics,materials science,colloid chemistry and sensors.However,photonic crystal involved in spectral characterization and so on has many problems such as manual operation repetition and long experiment time,which limit the wider application of photonic crystals.At present,automated experiment is a developing direction to realize the automatic collection and characterization of photonic crystal information and improve the efficiency of photonic crystal information collection,which can indirectly increase the application of photonic crystal.In this paper,the automatic information collection and characterization system for photonic crystal is an attempt to laboratory automation,which provides a promising example for laboratory automation.Due to the diversity,complexity and flexibility of chemistry experiments,it is difficult to find a fixed route to achieve full automation.This paper mainly breaks down the experimental procedure related to photonic crystal information collection and characterization into component steps,and divides each step into different modules to achieve the automation of each module one by one.The main work is as follows:1.Computer language Python is used to save photonic crystal images under different object distances with the help of microscope and microscope software.Then,with the image recognition algorithm and sharpness algorithm,the object distance corresponding to the highest resolution image of the photonic crystal can be found,so as to realize the photonic crystal autofocus.2.After Python cooperates with microscope and microscope software to save the photonic crystal image with scale,the pixel size of photonic crystal and the pixel length of the scale are measured by the image recognition algorithm,and the actual size of photonic crystal is converted by the actual length of the scale,so as to realize the automatic measurement of photonic crystal diameter.In addition,Python works with spectrometer and its development platform Ominidriver to realize spectral data collection.And Python is also used to process and plot the data about wavelength and intensity,thus,the size measurement of photonic crystal microsphere and the collection of spectrums are realized.3.The information automatic collection and characterization systems for photonic crystal have been applied to the detection of amphetamine drugs.An imprinted molecular sensor is used to identify drug molecules by collecting reflected light spectra.What’s more,A multi-unit photonic crystal chip sensor is designed.There are still many shortcomings in this design,but a new example of laboratory automation techniques is proposed,which improves the efficiency of photonic crystal information automatic collection.
