There is light-grey to off-white and thick to massive biosparite, which is hugely thick overall,in Shanyang county,Shaanxi Province from middle Pennsylvanian to Guadalupian, which is named as Yangshan Formation. After studying the fusulinids fauna and its biostratigraphic significance, this paper has got several conclusions:1.In Yangshan Formation, there are 38 genera and 76 species of fusulinids are discovered,10 biozones are established, which are Fusulina-Fusulinella Assemblage zone,Montiparus zone,Eoparafusulina-Pseudofusulina Assemblage zone,Daixina(Bosbytauella)gallowayi Abundance zone,Paraschwagerina Abundance zone,Robustoschwagerina zone,Schwagerina cushmani-S.cushmani robusta Assemblage zone,Brevaxina zone,Pseudodoliolina Abundance zone and Yabeina gubleri Abundance zone from bottom to top.The age is defined from Moscovian to Capitanian.2.Yabeina gubleri Abundance zone is first found in Yangshan Formation, whose upper age is elongated from Xiangboan to Lengwuan.3.During upper Carboniferous, the fusulinids assemblages are similar to ones in Uzbekistan,Russian Platform,Urals,Carnic-Alps,Turkey and West Qinling in China.During lower Permian, they are analogous to those in South China,West Qinling and Turkey. In middle Permian, they are comparable to South China and West Qinling.4.This paper has described 20 genera and 76 species, including 1 subgenus,4 subspecies,1 variety,4 conformis and 6 indeterminata species, and has deeply discussed the features and classifications in some of these.
