Heavy academic pressure would not only be harmful to the physical and mental development of middle school students,but also hamper the development of quality education and modern education in our country.The educational "burden reduction" policy,as a key issue in the field of basic education in China,has not achieved the desired effect over the years.At the same time,in March 2021,the Ministry of Education specified that the number of high school and vocational high school students should be roughly the same,making many parents of junior high school students feel stressed and anxious about their children's further education.Therefore,at the initial stage of the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,it is meaningful to analyze the current situation of junior middle school parents' cognition of this policy,and clarify the factors affecting the parents' attitude and behavior towards this policy,for it would promote the implementation of the "double reduction" policy.Based on Triadic Reciprocal Determinism,combined with the existing researches as well as the author's interview with teachers,this thesis designs a questionnaire.By collecting data through a sampling survey of junior middle school students' parents in the main urban area of Handan,and analyzing the data by the methods of descriptive statistics,cross analysis,Decision Tree Model and Word Cloud Diagram,this thesis examines junior middle school parents in terms of their attitudes and participation behaviors to the "double reduction" policy.It also researches the change of academic burden after the implementation of the policy,and the educational factors which parents pay attention to after the implementation of the "double reduction" policy.Then,it constructs the relationship model between junior middle school parents' policy cognition and educational confidence,talent concept,environmental factors,as well as educational anxiety.Through the sample data of Handan City,it uses Structural Equation Modeling to fit and modify the empirical data,and explores the relationship between different factors and junior middle school parents' cognition of "double reduction" policy.The results show that:(1)junior middle school students' parents do not have a deep understanding of the "double reduction" policy.They don't believe that the academic burden has changed much after the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,and they choose counseling classes to improve students' performance.The surveyed parents are generally optimistic about the "double reduction" policy,but they still have doubts about whether it can really implement and whether the school education level would be effected after the burden reduction.(2)According to the path coefficient of Structural Equation Model,environmental factors,educational anxiety,talent concept and educational confidence have a positive correlation with policy cognition.Among them,environmental factors have the greatest impact on junior middle school parents' policy cognition and educational confidence has the least impact.Finally,based on the analysis conclusion,the corresponding suggestions are put forward.
